I have donated to this shelter numerous times. Two truck loads of items were donated a few years back with hardly a Thank you! Money was donated a few times toward the building fund (which I still don’t see even the start of). Today I donated blankets and again not even a Thank you! Appreciation for the help from others goes a long way. I guess I learned the hard way - so I will now donate to those organizations that APPRECIATE the help! I am a vet tech of 30 years and don’t appreciate seeing some of their animals for adoption being categorized as “Sweet” and “Loving” when that is definitely NOT the case. Don’t blow smoke and then turn around in the next sentence and say it is a “Staff Favorite” and “prefers Women” (Hates men). Don’t lull potential adopters into thinking they are the perfect home when you know full well that some of these pets are fear biters. We all understand the need to allow time to decompress and adjust but I would just hope you stop saying one thing when you mean the opposite just to get the pet adopted!

The humane society Pasco location needs to be open til 7 every day like every other humane society. Hours and availability are horrible as it is closed sun mon Tues Wed and only open Thurs Fri Sat noon to 4pm

I did finally get in contact with them, I asked them about the dog and whether they took it or not was not going to shape my opinion. Was kind of hoping if they couldn't take it they would give me some advice. Instead it was arrogant and rudeness. I live only a few blocks away from there. I was going to offer to help with the SSL in the email server for free. I've driven by a few times sometime ago and I saw that they had roosters and chickens. I've always got room for more chickens. It's probably just me I can't see how people can survive in this world treating everybody like that. There's just something about me people in this county hate with a passion. So I was never told what the surrender fee was making it clear that nothing I have is ever going to be welcome in the future there even though I'm probably the most honest person they ever talk to. But if they can't keep a proper SSL on an active website the short aren't doing any better anywhere else. I'm sorry something horrifying must have happened to their website developer. Which is why I thought offering services to them if they would just be pleasant might have been a good idea. I'm guessing there's probably somebody here that they will like that could offer the services and they might take it and maybe have what they need to get someone adopted out. Unless they're just hoarding under the disguise of a charity.. I can't leave Pasco for 3 more years but when I do I am going to set my heels on fire. And no it's not because I'm on probation. It's because the property values.

If you have a dog from a known breeder you need to contact the breeder. That is best for the dogs and I would sue you as a breeder if you didn’t attempt to reach out to me. Do right by the dog and contact the breeder.

I took a friendly stray kitty in to get Combo tested, micro chipped, and all 3 core cat vaccines (rabies, HCP, and FeLV) and they had really great affordable prices. It was ~$85 to do it all which is awesome compared to how much it would cost regularly. It's so great they can offer these services to the community at discounted prices!

Just got a kitten yesterday and the woman there are so nice. The place is super clean without a litter box smell in sight! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to adopt!
