The staff here all the best. I've never adopted before always bought. The staff here showed nothing but patience and kindness, trust me when I say I was a handfull for them. I could tell they really cared about the dogs and made my experience very pleasant. Jennifer there went above and beyond for me and I can't thank her or the staff enough, not only for what they did but also for getting me my new best friend. The experience was so good and the fact that I saved this angels life, I will always adopt from now on.
This is heartbreaking. We were camping, found a sweet pup that had a collar but no tag. They didn't even have him for a week before euthanizing him (due to "behavioral issues and overcrowding"). This dog was nothing but sweet except when animal control wrangled him into a metal box and who knows what else after that. Didn't give the owner or dog a chance to reunite. RIP 💔
Called like 6 times this past month and the officers haven't gone to pick up the dog, from all the times I've spoken to them they “supposedly have gone but can't find the dog.” (The dog that is always across the street, and never moves spots) One officer told me to catch the dog myself. Like Sr. I'm pregnant why do I have to do your job? Long story short I managed to trap the dog and called so the officer could come pick up the dog and now they are saying to bring it in because they are “really busy” helping others while I’ve called 6 times in past month. And it’s so annoying how this dog keeps getting into everyone’s trash making a mess everywhere, digging holes, trespassing, properties, and the pound can’t come pick up this homeless hungry dog!? Not only is the dog annoying but in the corner of our street there is a school bus where kids are constantly being dropped off, for what we know what if this dog has rabies or is aggressive and ends up biting a kid now what who’s fault is that?
I was promised a cute little dog. Was told I could pick her up today. When I arrived and went get the dog I was told they gave it to a rescue group today. Very VERY upsetting when they told me they just gave it away to a rescue group when I had a forever home for that cute little pup. It's very upsetting to have this happen. BE VERY CAREFUL if you go there to adopt, you may be hurt when they don't come through with the pet you just fell in love with.
I am very pleased with the services and care the staff provide at Tulare County Animal Services. I recently had three kittens spayed and neutered and I am very pleased with the services I received. What truly stood out, however, was the affordability of their spaying and neutering services. The Tulare County Animal Services recognizes the financial constraints that pet owners may face and has taken commendable steps to make these procedures more accessible. The transparent pricing structure and reasonable fees allowed me to provide essential care for my pets without breaking the bank. During the post-surgery care, the amazing staff provided detailed instructions on how to ensure a smooth recovery for my pets. To address any issues that might arise, they offered valuable advice and resources, demonstrating their commitment to the long-term well-being of the animals. Tulare County Animal Services exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Their staff's dedication, compassion, and affordability make them a standout choice for anyone seeking spaying and neutering services for their pets. I wholeheartedly recommend Tulare County Animal Services to fellow pet owners in the community and commend them for their outstanding contributions to responsible pet ownership.
Where do I even begin……. On Wednesday 6/ 15/22 I went to PetSmart in hopes of adopting a loving, HEALTHY animal, unfortunately to my findings the day I brought Nico home, I knew he was sick. I knew I wanted to adopt him the moment I saw him so I didn’t hesitate to bring him home. Upon arrival ( I didn’t really see him before I adopted, I literally just had them put him in a carrier and away we went)….when I got home and took him out of the carrier, I had noticed his left eye was really watery and had crusty but I thought “eh maybe he just has eye boogers”. Little did I know it was much more serious. As the days went on he started to sneeze, wheeze, his nose was runny, and BOTH eyes were very watery and crusty. On the 8th day, as shown in the picture this is how bad it got quickly!!!! Not even 8 days after adopting him I was taking him to the vet for an emergency check up. Mind you ALL the vets they listed in their “complementary” list are not seeing new animals right now, AND the one in Tulare wanted to charge me $80 for the visit. Anyways, so I took him to MY vet, where they did multiple tests on him, and come to find out he has chlamydia. I asked the vet how and where he could have gotten it because the only animal I had was a kitten I adopted 2 days before him which was healthy and from a completely different foundation, and a dog. She had mentioned that he was showing signs of sickness well before I adopted him. Now my question is….. WHY???? Why didn’t anyone red flag his symptoms?? It was either negligence on the shelters side, or PetSmarts side. I am beyond frustrated as not even 8 days after bringing him home, I’m paying over $200 for a vet bill. The only offer to me was to see their vet ( which this would’ve never gotten this bad IF there vet was doing their job) or to surrender him back to the shelter… WHY? So they can kill him because he’s sick? Do better Tulare county Animal Services! DO BETTER!!!! People put their trust in you for finding HEALTHY animals and yet you are FAILING!!!
