Rude and inconsiderate people. Tried to call in a stray my dad tried to help out. Unfortunately because he’s had it longer than 3 days, they say that he is considered the owner and needs to go on a wait list for a surrender. The wait list is backed up until February….He recently had open heart surgery and can’t care for the dog. The dog is viscous and snapped the yard guy and his other dog. The dog jumps at my dad almost knocking him down every time he go outside. We tried to do the humane thing and turn her in but was denied. They told us to let her loose…What a joke. Stay away from this location. They don’t care about the animals, just the fees…

Staff is rude. I understand you have a job to care for animals but feeling threatened by staff when I'm simply trying to get my dog back (im obviously there because I care) is ridiculous. So unprofessional.

We are so fortunate to have these services available. I rarely need to call animal control but when I do I'm always thankful for them plus they get the job done everytime, today I had two pitbulls in my backyard, I called it in and Susie arrived within 30 min. By then the dogs were gone but she said she would walk around and look for them and she did. In no time Susie found them. Thank you Susie and VACC staff..

Not sure why the reviews are so bad. I was passing through town and tragically lost my dog. The police officer assisting me told me to call Visalia Animal Care. They treated me with nothing but kindness and compassion, expressing how sorry they were for my loss. I ultimately had my sweet boy cremated. I wasn’t able to pick up his ashes right away as I live 5 hours away. All employed there worked diligently to come up with a solution on how to get the ashes to me. I did end up driving back to pick them up, but their effort did not go unnoticed. Every time I called, kindness. To pickup, extreme kindness. I’m so glad to have had them during this horrific time in my life. The employees here made it bearable, and for that, I thank you all.

Rude customer service, they dont care about their animals or any one you try to bring in. I found 6 kitten and there mother under my son playhouse, so I took them in and they told me I was going to have to pay to get the mom fix and pay for the time she was in there and pay to have all the kitten KILLED, I'll never come here again.. THIS IS NOT OKAY... not a care center, more like a kill center.

Just called about dogs that are not being fed or watered and I was grilled by the operator she was telling me to have my 7-year-old grandaughter who goes to the house every 2 weeks go over there and feed and water 8 dogs. This woman needs to be fired operater 589 is her number. She doesn't care about animals.
