At the height of Covid, I was traveling crosscountry with my dogs when my 11-pound senior dachshund-pomeranian, Quiver, received a laceration very near her eye. I fervently called every vet along my route, and 7 or 8 of them turned me down before I rang Blue Valley Animal Hospital. They took her in, and due to Covid protocol at the time, I waited in my vehicle. I was expecting the bill to be more than $300 because Quiver had a similar injury near her eye in the past, and it had required anesthesia to treat. The doctor was absolutely so kind, comforting, reasonable, and honest—he managed to do a few drops of glue to repair the tear, and I think my bill was no more than $60 that harrowing day. What a relief!! Soooo much gratitude to you, Blue Valley Animal Hospital!!!

We took our 6 yr old husky Diablo in due to a very bad limp after Stanley said..let's wait and see (that cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars). Dr Rogers saw Diablo and immediately knew he needed a better examination by a neurologist and a ortho. She referred us to Op pet hospital and after a few visits it was determined he had skeletal bone cancer. The decision was made to put my my best friend down because the cancer had spread aggressively and he was in dire pain and unable to walk. The appointment was made and the sad day came. HE WAS AND WE WERE treated like family through the whole process and was put to sleep. 2 days ago I recieved a bouquet of flowers and today a card signed by everyone along with his nose print and paw print. This is the most compassionate vet you will ever find! Dr Rogers is amazing as well as her whole staff. The gal that put Diabalo at ease before the euthanasia was amazing. I'm sorry I can't remember her name. I have two other dogs (family members) and they will now and forever only see Blue Valley pet for care and treatment. In my grief all I can say is they were exceptional and have earned my business for many years to come. Thank you and thank you for your compassion and helping with Disblos journey. Much love!

From the time we walked in until we left we felt cared for by Dr Spain and his team. They jumped into action to help us. Prior to our visit my pup had been through a lot (ER visits 2 other vet appt, a ton of meds, diet changes, pressure to get specific diagnostics, only to have a pip who was getting worse). Dr. Spain took time to really understand and review the ER, the other Vet’s summary notes, labs, etc. After offering varying diagnostic options we came up with a game plan. My pup is pretty ill and trying to find a cause and a treatment plan has been extraordinarily difficult, stressful and quite frankly brutal. I am so grateful. I feel like I have advocates for my pups health. Highly recommend.

They have a great staff but was quoted $2000 to get my dogs teeth cleaned and removed. 😳😵‍💫🤑 Asked a different vet hospital in the area and they said it should be $400 max. 🫶 Other than that they are wonderful and even sent us flowers after our dog passed away.

1 star for same day appointments. ZERO communication between employees. I came here for a service for my pet who was insanely bloated. She turned out to have heart issues. She needed to be drained and have an ultrasound. That's perfectly acceptable. The vet tech and vet were kind knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. The day I came to pick up my dog was a different story. I came in to pay realizing I'd left my second form of payment an hour away in my work vehicle. I tried to split payment between the two forms to keep cash handy in my checking and the receptionist was condescending and abrupt. When I couldn't apply my second form of payment through the phone app, I was ten dollars short. Because of this $10, I was sent to a separate room (because apparently discussing finances in public is crude, or they simply didn't want customers to see how they treat those short on immediate funds.) I was fully prepared to spend $760 (what I recall having been quoted), my bill being 781.00. I notified the other receptionist exactly how much I had, and that my card was in my truck and couldn't immediately access it, but that I could pay the 771.00 in my checking then. (Also offering to post date a check for the overage missing) The woman who was the lead receptionist was incredibly rude. Acting as if she needed to sit me down to talk to me over $10. "The bill is 781.00" I was so frustrated and flustered all I could say is "I don't have it", thinking she already knew what I'd discussed previously with the new receptionist. I have 771.00 Apparently not. When I tried to further the conversation past this hurdle to; what are my steps and what are you comfortable with- the woman comically demanded the amount that I told her already I didn't have (781.00), I gave her my card. She ran it for 781.00 and responded to me "your card was declined" pha! Jesus h. "Yeah, because I told you I didn't have it" "Well how much do you have." (Obviously out of the loop) "771.00 like I told the receptionist up front" "Ok. So we'll take 771.00" What a face palm. Lead receptionist (tall, thin, inverted bob): (quote) "So, am I going to have to write this $20 off because you aren't going to call and pay it??" Instead of dealing with this like a grown adult might, taking my dog and returning to my vehicle to call and pay a measly $10. She made an immense effort to insinuate that I was absolute trash and wasn't intending to pay at all, much less the $10. I offered to post date a check to Friday for the $10 as well which they refused. (So they have payment everything until I called later that night with my second payment form) They'd rather insult you than trust you with $10. 100%

Blue valley animal hospital saved the day after my dog ate a toy after our regular vet had closed for the evening. Worked us in and saved us a trip to the ER vet. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, also up front about cost (which was super affordable i might add) thank you blue valley!!!!
