Horrible people who have no intention of doing their jobs or protecting the public. I have had multiple encounters with them trying to get peoples lost dogs home and dealing with aggressive ones. Never have a had a pleasant or smooth encounter. If ur dog rips someones calf off and gives them 32 stitches expect them to essentially call u a liar and say there is a 3 month wait list
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Had a pit stray show up on my porch on Thursday, I called them she said she'd send someone out. No one showed up. Friday I called again, no one showed up. Here comes Monday and the dog is still here. What the hell am I supposed to do with this dog? I have small children and two dogs that I can't take outside bc of it.
Had an injured dog with open wound show up at our house. He has made himself at home and will not leave our back porch steps. He has been very sweet but I don't know how he would react to being moved due to pain from his injury. I called multiple places for help, last being this VERY UNHELPFUL GOVERNMENT FUNDED PLACE and was told they weren't taking any dogs! Huh??? When you have a telephone option to speak with a supervisor, there's a problem!
They made this friendly happy going dog suffer severely with a needle in her poor heart and let her suffer for a long time til she finally died They don’t humanely euthanize, they TORTURE animals. Shame on the family who surrendered her too!
I would rate this place no stars. A stray dog showed up at my house, she is a sweet and friendly dog. She was okay with my dog mind you, she and my dog were outside together and something triggered her to attack my dog (I do not blame her) she accidentally bit me in the process of her trying to fight my dog. After the whole incident happened she went back to being the sweetest baby. Animal control was called because of the accident. I was told they were going to quarantine her for ten day then re-assess her and put her up for adoption to a home without animals. Today I called to check on her because the incident happened yesterday December 1 2022 the lady who I spoke with said she is very lovable and if the owner does not come forward within ten days she will be euthanized as an aggressive animal. This breaks my heart because she ain’t aggressive she was triggered by something. All because she bit from being triggered she is now going to be euthanized instead of them working with her. I added pictures of the baby.
this is the biggest waste of tax payer dollars. if you have or know of an aggressive, violent animal, just take matters into your own hands… because apparently this department is only good for taking up space, wasting your time and too incompetent and lazy to do their jobs.
