Paws is an exceptionally wonderful shelter in the Columbus community! They really care about the pets. I was worried I was going to have to rehome my babies but I got involved with the community pets program and they helped me keep my babies at home! Huge shout out to Rachel for all the hard work she does for Paws!!!

Don't bother filling out applications or calling to tell them if you want an animal, they will adopt it out anyway. Even if you tell them you are on the way and only minutes away This has happened to me 3 times now!! I have literally passed the people that have got the animal in the door All 3 cases an application was filled out, contact with employees was made and still the animal was adopted by someone else by the time I arrived 30 minutes later

I have trapped 91 cats in my yard they pee and poop in my yard on my carport and on my car tires animal control gives these cats to paws humane a couple days later the same cats are dropped off on my street and you got it in my yard again destroying my property! Paws humane calls them community cats. I call it a crime. I called the mayors office last week told them about my property being damaged. This morning I called and was told they sent paws humane a email she told me there reply stated the reason I have a problem is because I set a trap this is a joke!!! I paid 120 dollars for a trap because these cats are causing damage on my property I am sure if I had a animal doing the same I would wind up on court. I called the city attorney’s office this morning they told me they can’t give me advice that I needed a attorney. This is what you get for 9% sales tax. I am out of options and will resolve this I can assure you .

We just celebrated our 1 year adoption date with our happy boy that we adopted from here. They are a very professional location and provide follow up checkin ins to see how the adoption was going. You can tell that they really love and care that each of the animals get a perfect home. I highly recommend adopting from Paws!

This truly is one of the best Humane Society places we've been to, and we've been to a few in the past throughout FL. They truly care, are extremely helpful, and have taken great care of all of our pets since we moved here!! I would recommend Paws any day!!

I adopted my dog Ginger from here. they could not be more amazing. They had her with a foster family who bathed her every day for one week with medicated shampoo because she had flees as she was found abandoned in a house. They are a great adoption place. Ginger had worms and was very tiny she is now so healthy I’m so glad this place helps local dogs find forever families
