Description Roice-Hurst Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter and adoption center based in Grand Junction, Colorado, that provides individualized enrichment, veterinary care, and adoption services for dogs and cats, as well as a variety of innovative support services for pet owners with a goal of keeping owned pets united with the people who love them. Roice-Hurst Humane Society also partners with the City of Delta and Delta County to operate a satellite facility in Delta, Colorado, to reunite lost dogs with their owners. Roice-Hurst Humane Society is proud to be a socially-conscious animal shelter that works diligently to match animals to their forever homes, however long that may take.

Adopted little mochi from here for my 20th birthday. It’s everything you would expect from a shelter, they are super nice, straight forward, and very easy to work with. Saw mochi on their website early in September and immediately fell in love she is so sweet, the adoption process was very easy and clear they even send you home with some goodies along with your new best friend. Thank you Roist Hursts so much for mochi and your guys cooperation!!

The people at the Humane Society were wonderful and so kind. They handled my pup so gently because they knew he was a little bit frightened. I appreciated the patience they shared. ❤️🐶❤️🐶

I got my Leo here just a little over a year ago. I am so glad I decided to adopted him. He is now over a year old and a solid 20 lbs. He is very lazy and loves his snacks. He loves playing and he is my little fury cat human child.(he thinks he is human) He got out when he was a kitten and came home,which I was surprised and relieved, he now refuses to go outside(lucky me)

Everyone there was helpful and caring. I adopted this little beauty! Now on September 3, Alice (Allie) actually came up to me at my backyard table! She let me pet her ears, and she licked my hand! Great milestone!

We adopted our cat there about two years ago now. She is a very shy girl but has since warmed up. They take good care of their animals and are thorough about the adoption process. Even going as far as to offer animal behavioral advice and services for after adoption.
