I got an amazing cat there who has fit into my fur family perfectly! I love her so much! Her name is Summer. She adjusted to my dog fairly quickly. The adoption process was easy. Thank you for allowing me to adopt my best friend ❤️
I haven't adopted a cat for a very long time because my cats lived long lives. When my last cat passed, I learned that I do not do well without a cat. I saw this cat on the website and immediately drawn to him. I was very impressed with the staff and adoption process. I feel, given the circumstances, the animals are well cared for. I hope people will consider adopting an older animal. I found myself a gem!
Great day! This was the first time we adopted a dog. We have been wanting a dog, and today's event allowed us to finally get one. So appreciative. Kids love her, and she loves her new home! She is fitting right in. Thank you! For a great experience.
Love this place so much! I volunteer here every Friday and am always amazed by the care and love all of the staff show toward the animals. Despite often having close to 100 dogs on any given day, when I'm out walking them, the staff always know each one by name. I have no idea how they do it! Please consider adopting an animal from SPCA Tampa Bay. You will be getting someone who has been in the best care and received all their wellness care. These animals are so full of love. Also, consider volunteering here! They always need more volunteers. It's the best part of my week, and if you choose to walk dogs, you're giving an animal the best 10 minutes of their day. What an amazing gift.
the black woman with bug eyes that does intake has an awful attitude and is a liar. said my dog growled at her very low and short so I didn’t hear it but she did all because I asked her what does the process look like and she said 30-40 minutes I said no mam what are the steps once we are in the back room and that’s when she said don’t worry about it we can’t take your dog he just growled at me so I requested a supervisor and the supervisor was much more professional and explained the process. my dog didn’t growl at her which is funny. then we finally went in the back room and of course who is doing my intake it’s the same lady who had. Problem with me. they took my dog in the back room could hear them saying how sweet he was and how good he was then the lady came out talking about they can’t take him because he wouldn’t let nobody touch him which is a lie because we heard them playing with him. this place is crooked as hell and would rather kill your pet instead of rehome them. do not support them do not donate to them do not adopt from them go to Pet Pals or even better Friends of Strays who do not euthanize their animals and won’t over crowd their kennels like SPCA Tampa bay. I hope that lady gets fired because she is the reason people abandon their animals because they can’t reliably surrender them in emergencies instead of having them put down. Disgusting.
Staff is very friendly! We adopted our first family dog through them and they were very thorough and helpful when choosing the right dog for our family. Dogs must go home on a collar and leash which they do offer there for only $20 for both. They also have a few toys, treats, crates, and harnesses for dogs and cats. You get to pick a cute bandana or bow tie for your pet as well. They also have cats, rabbits, birds, iguanas, and other small rodent type pets.
