Description "We save animals from being euthanized at county shelters across North Carolina. Check out our website today!"
Her name was initially Gyro. Her name is now Luna and she is the sweetest pup. She has not been in my home about 24 hours and she gets along with my dog Rosie. She is a big cuddler, she is sweet and she is so playful! I am so glad I could make a difference in her life!
I highly recommend adopting from Adoption First Animal Rescue. This is a group of people who are so dedicated to saving lives through adoption. Every animal is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for any parasites prior to adoption. I love knowing that our new kitty was fully vetted before adopting him and bringing him home to our other pets. Every animal spends time in a foster home and all details about the animal are listed in their adoption information, so we felt confident Mickey would be a great fit. He is the best cat ever and we are so happy to have him as pet of our family!
I’m giving this place 2 stars because one of the techs was incredibly nice. I had to drop my cat off to be fixed and was emotional fearing my car thought I was abandoning him. I felt silly crying since it was a normal procedure but was emotionally a wreck for that reason and I never leave my pets with anyone, ever. With that said, I don’t have anything particularly bad about them, but it felt very off. It didn’t appear clean or sterile. I usually go to Banfield and they are great. One of the ladies was snappy and personally, if I’m leaving my pet with you, you better be an absolute angel. You need to treat other peoples pets like you would your own. But the worst part is my cat has sores on either side of his mouth. They said a tube is not required so if nothing went into his mouth I can’t figure out how they would get there. I have attached photos of what his mouth usually looks like and what it looks like after. I will not be taking my cats there again. I want to be fully affirmed that they are getting exceptional treatment.
I’ve adopted from and fostered for Adoption First. Some of the people I’ve met here are some of the greatest people I’ll ever meet. Their priority is to save as many lives as possible and they do an amazing job at it. Like any rescue though, they have a capacity. As much as they’d like to to take in every single dog they find, it is impossible. They are a well organized rescue and continue making improvements every day. Keep in mind, they are a non profit organization, all the money they make from donations, adoption fees and fundraisers goes right back to the dogs.
Life saver for our four laggard friends. A wonderful place doing a task that other vets will not do. They are providing affordable vet care and saving neglected animals. They are assisting the county animal control and supplying TNR services for abandoned cats. The staff is wonderful and any donation to them could help save another cat or dog. We are lucky to have them!
They are great people but poor service. I fostered an animal from here and continued to mention an issue the animal had. They basically told me it was nothing. I then adopted the animal and brought it for a check up with the same issues and then had to pay $87 for medication to fix the problem that apparently was now a problem even though nothing changed. Basically they waited for the animal to be adopted and then bring up the issue so they didn’t have to pay for it. Now my other animal has the same issue. I will be bringing them both to an actual vet and paying whatever I have to to resolve this issue and I will not adopt or bring my animals there anymore.
