I don’t know if this applies to this place or if it is something else within the sheriffs department/county, but I called them recently about a large rattlesnake in my backyard. Lady on the phone, Heather I think her name was, was very kind, asked for information clearly, that experience was good. However, for some stupid reason, they can only respond if the snake was INSIDE the house, not if it was inside our fenced in yard where it was still a threat to me, my family, and my dogs. Could have had that snake live another day, but these stupid policies made that impossible to do safely. Surely it is not that hard for a guy to come out with snake tongs and a tote box with holes drilled in it.

We came across shelter end of April. Saw Arthur aka Artie. Fell in love with him at first sight. He was under their vet’s care until May 19th. I flew back down on May 24th and adopted him. Drove him back to Pittsburgh for his fur ever home. Staff was great and very caring from my first visit until I picked Artie up along with many phone calls in between. The place is very clean and well organized.

I really despise minding my own business then abruptly being harassed by animal control for having a dog in my vehicle when at a park that apparently does not allow pets. they never even eat the vehicle! given a ticket when i didn’t even know i was breaking any rules. shame on these people for harassing pet owners for such minuscule reasons. also, the website for the park says pets welcome. showed the officer the website- still got a ticket. i’ll never go back to this park that we love which is such a shame. just leave people alone when there’s no harm done, many other things to do with your time

These horrible people euthanized my dog all because the dog got out of the house and scratched someone. The dog didn't bit anyone. The person filed a complaint and they came and picked her up and they didn't give a chance they just euthanized her. My poor dog. All she was guilty of was scratching someone. And these people treated us horribly. They harassed us since day one. And the judge we went before didn't give us a chance to say anything. They only let the other party talk. We asked to speak and the judge denied our request. Shame on you supposed public servants. But I believe in karma. My beautiful innocent dog that the only thing she was guilty of was getting excited and scratching someone. The person she scratched said it was nothing but their partner acted like a Karen and accused the dog of mauling them. It was a simple scratch. That is what my poor dog was guilty of. They euthanized her for nothing. Shame on the county and shame on that Sarasota county judge.

Very unfriendly when answering a call about an injured animal, I’ve trying since last night to find someone who can help, when the person answered she said you should have call earlier….really?! Genius, if I had your number before what do you think I would do? Sit and wait?

Called about a raccoon in yard looked injured they came out and took care of situation amazing care what they do for animals I wish I could give them more than 5 stars they go over and above thank you so much
