Description Top Dog SF offers a variety of professional dog training and walking services with a focus on positive reinforcement training methods for both puppies and adult dogs. At our facility, we specialize in puppy training day school training called Top Dog SF's Puppy Head Start Program. We also offer Small Dog PlayCare Monday through Friday for dogs under 40 lbs. We also offer Group Dog Walks to our private dog ranch Monday through Friday with shuttle service for San Francisco dogs. Our expert walkers are work with small sized packs, are CPR and First Aid Trained, and Certified Dog Walkers. Top Dog SF also does in person and online Dog and Puppy Training Sessions with SPCA Certified Reward Based Trainers.

Our dog Betty has been going to Top Dog camp for a couple of years now. We are so lucky to have found this amazing service for our dog. She loves camp and we love knowing she is with a staff that knows and loves her, she is getting plenty of exercise and play time with other dogs in large open area and we get photos daily showing her having a great time. This is such a better alternative than typical dog walking even though it cost about the same. Highly recommend!!

We signed our 3 month old puppy for the Top Dog Puppy Head Start program and we had a really positive experience. 3 months is an awkward age for puppies as they’re not fully vaccinated so you can’t really socialize them properly but they really need to be socialized. The Puppy Head Start program is a great compromise - there are strict health entry requirements so you know your partially vaccinated puppy is safe and they benefit from play time with other puppies and great trainers. Our puppy got really excited every time we dropped her off and she loved Lauren who took great care of her. I would definitely recommend this to other people in SF with young puppies.

My pup Cooper has been going to Topdog since he was 6 months old. He loves going to camp everyday and looks forward to meeting Miguel (our walker) every morning. Miguel and Bonnie (our camp assistant) have taken such good care of him. They are lovely people and truly love working with dogs. It is not just a job for them! In addition Jackie has always been super responsive and helpful with any questions I had along the way. As a single dog mom with no family around Topdog family has been super helpful and supportive since Cooper was a puppy. I started boarding Cooper with Natalie recently and she has been so communicative sending me photos regularly and taking great care of him. I am so glad to have found Topdog! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get their pup out and about when they are in the office. You won't be disappointed. They also have a ton of other services if you are looking for training or day care.

As first time dog owners we signed our young nervous puppy Moca up for Top Dog's kindergarten, not knowing what to expect - very happy we made the call! After a the first couple of classes Moca would be very excited to arrive at school. I was amazed at how she became more of a good citizen after starting the program. Everyone at the school was warm and welcoming - they put the puppies first (over profit motive). I interacted most with trainer Lauren - she's awesome! Anyone who is considering their first puppy - I very much recommend googling puppy development timelines. The first 8-16ish weeks are hugely important and shape the rest of the dog's life. With Top Dog. Moca is off to great start!

We brought our Maltipoo puppy Reuben to Top Dog for their puppy head start program and have to say it’s the best decision we have made since getting him! We were worried about not being able to socialize him before he’s fully vaccinated for Parvo, as well as having time during the workday to make sure we’re also giving him the attention he deserves at such a young age. Not only was he really well socialized in a clean, safe environment but every day he would come home more obedient and with new tricks to show us (not to mention super tired which made for happy parents). The staff there are also super kind and informative, and Reuben loves them. We saw another review before we started him that joked that their puppy would leap out of their arms when they dropped him off and that’s exactly what Reuben does too now. We plan to continue with Top Dog’s additional programs - they really are the best at what they do. Highly recommend!
