So many things to recommend this veterinary clinic. They took my concerns seriously and asked what must have been the right questions because one serious issue was diagnosed quickly, while blood and urine tests were needed to diagnose chronic issues. It is very clean, very private, and has excellent staff. And there is parking at the NOPA clinic, always a plus in SF.

I’m only in town for a few months but had to bring my senior dog with me. I was worried about getting a new vet on short notice, but Modern Animal was able to see us quickly, reviewed her home vet’s record thoroughly, and everyone was so friendly and nice. The app interface is great and they even offered treatments that weren’t available at our home vet yet. I definitely wish we had them at home!

Can’t say enough great things about these guys. Of course, I love the digital experience, convenience, and millennial / gen z targeted features (want a la croix or trendy water while you wait?) — but WAY more than that, I love the way they treat my pup and me. Every staff member I’ve encountered has exceptional bedside manner. I usually get flustered at the vet (and obviously my dog could not imagine a worse place in the world), and yet, we both always calm down, have well articulated conversations about what’s going on, enjoy some treats, take a breath … But seriously, it’s really wild the trust they can build with my anxious rescue pup in such a short time. And I feel like I can get her better care because I’m at ease too. I also really appreciate how transparent they are about costs, sincerely offering trade offs at different decision points. Thanks, Modern Animal! I’ll cherish these early days where I can get a next day appointment at a moments notice. But you guys deserve lots more business as you grow!

Both my dog and I love Modern Animal!! As a young dog owner, Modern Animal couldn’t be more helpful and straightforward. The app is incredible, scheduling is beyond easy (often I can find same day appointments!), and every single human that works there is just wonderful. We love Dr. Elaine Wu, but have seen other vets that have been just as incredible. The price transparency is so refreshing and the whole experience is beyond any other vet I’ve been to! Can’t recommend this place enough!
