I absolutely recommend this breeder! Her facilities are well maintained and all her cats looked after. I learned so much about caring for my kitten. I took my kitty home today her name is Zahara-Shai. She is 10weeks old.
She was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot! Everything was clean, cats well cared for, no smell despite several little cat cubbies. Our kitty was well worth the money. She is smart and gentle! . We will be getting another one when she has one available!
Francy's cats are beautiful. However, BUYER BEWARE. Our kitten had FIP as well as an intestinal parasitic infection. I am not being dramatic by saying that we were moments from losing our kitten had it not been for the heroes at The Cat Hospital in Metairie. Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a fatal viral disease in cats caused by a specific strain of feline coronavirus. Prior to the pandemic - euthanasia was the recommended protocol, but now it is treated with 3 months of DAILY injections of remdesivir. This has cost us an additional thousands of dollars between the medication and the vet bills, routine blood tests, etc. Francy accuses clients of giving their cats FIP for using clumping cat litter (ridiculous), when in fact FIP is transmitted through feces when there are more than 5 cats sharing a litter box. If you've been to her facility, she keeps at least that many cats in each of the same cages. Francy dna tests her breeding parents for feline leukemia, but SHOULD, if she has a conscience, also FULLY test kittens before handing them over with a FULL blood panel AND a fecal test, especially for FIP which affects purebreds so aggressively. If you're spending $2000 for one of her cats, what is another $200-$400 for peace of mind? I reached out to Ashley who also provided another google review to compare experiences and the vet she mentions had 5 other Francy clients with hair raising diseases. Francy herself admitted she has had 10 other clients over the years with FIP kittens. So this is a thing at her facility. INSIST on receiving a full medical check before you hand over your money for these sweet creatures. She gives you a syringe of "albon" to cover herself in case the cats have coccidia, but she doesn't actually test or confirm anything. In my case, our cat had intestinal parasites that were not treatable with the albon, we had to get specific aggressive antibiotic and probiotic regime to resolve.
Best breeder! For all of you saying she is overpriced, research the breed!! They are usually over $2,000 for a PUREBRED. If it’s a cheap cat, there’s a reason. She health tests them and the parents. I have an almost eight year old female ragdoll who is incredibly healthy, sweet, and no behavioral issues.
Cats By Francy was great. A sincere cat breeder who is proud of her work. She gave a full tour of her place. It was filled with happy, clean and playful cats including my new best friend. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a new friend. Make sure to call for availability and schedule an appointment.
In love with my Lynx mitted ragamuffin ❤️ drove from Harvey La and picked him up. He is the sweetest, hunk of love and fun. It was so hard deciding because all the kittens are gorgeous and one of a kind but I'm so happy. He is the perfect addition to our family and wonderful with my 4 year old.
