5 Stars to the Azalea Lakes Veterinary Clinic. We began with Dr. Suzy caring for our 3 dogs and 1 cat when we moved to Baton Rouge in 1997 and are still with her and her Team today, currently under Dr. Tara’s care. Over the years they have cared for our 4 dogs and 6 cats, currently caring for one of each today. Not only do they have care and passion for the “kids” (pets) they treat, but also for the whole family. We highly recommend Azalea Lakes Vet Clinic for your animal needs.
This clinic is amazing and I wouldn’t trust my fur baby’s with anyone else! they rushed to surgery to save my pups life after finding a fatal diagnosis and also took such great care of her diagnosis after diagnosis. The staff is so sweet and great. They always prioritize your pets health and needs.
The staff here are beyond amazing, we lost our baby Doberman Deuce to parvo last year. I called ahead a complete mess and they told me not to worry that they would handle everything. I arrived a sobbing mess, I wasn't even out the truck yet and they were out the door ready to get him for me. I didn't have to do anything, I went in to pay for his paw print and sign any paperwork I needed to and they just hugged me and said "that is the least of our worries right now, we can handle that tomorrow on the phone after you have time to calm down." I've have never had a vet clinic be so thoughtful and kind. They knew that I was about to have to tell my 13yr old son his puppy died and they were more concerned with us and our family than getting payment or filling out paperwork. I will recommend them 100% every time!!! Thank you Azalea Lakes for treating us like family!!
Dr. Suzie Saved my best friend life. He was a day or 2 away from death and she took care of him around the clock making sure he was comfortable. Treated him like family. I love her and the entire staff there! Thank yall so much!!!
PROTECT YOUR PETS FROM THIS PLACE!!! BEWARE OF AZALEA LAKES VETERINARY CLINIC!!!! I have had my suspicions about the saturation of animals they see daily for a couple of years now, it’s always chaotic. But that’s where our pets have gone for years, they know them so it’s what’s best right? WRONG!! Something told me to bring my 16 year old pom to Andermann(where my cat goes, they are SO lovely) and what do you know. HEART DISEASE that was NEVER MENTIONED and is now a GRADE 4! This could have been slowed and prevented further progression if detected FAR earlier! So with that, I sent Shawn with Ink, our 12 year old pit, as he has gone downhill since surgery last week. I got records and sent them over before his appointment. First thing the Dr says is “Why did they not discuss this VERY CONCERNING bloodwork with you?” He’s in KIDNEY FAILURE, and it’s too late now! You put a dog in KIDNEY FAILURE under ANESTHESIA?! Also never know he was anemic. Levels should be under 1… his is 6!!!! Absolutely no telling what else we don’t know! I pray that none of you are in this situation, but if you go to AZALEA LAKES, PLEASE BRING YOUR PET FOR A SECOND OPINION!!!!
DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE. THEY WILL KILL THEM AND NOT BOTHER TO ANSWER THE PHONE OR TELL YOU THE VET IS IN SURGERY AND WILL RETURN CALL AND NEVER WILL. I BROUGHT MY DOG IN FOR A SIMPLE 3 STITCH PROCEDURE AROUND HIS EYE TO LIFT THE EYE LID. WITHIN 20 MINUTES OF MY DRIVE HOME FROM VET MY DOG PASSED AWAY IN CAR. HE WAS ONLY 8 MONTHS OLD AT THE TIME AS WELL. HER INSURANCE TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT EVEN WHEN THE VET PERSONALLY TOOK RESPONSIBILITY OF HIS DEATH. DO NOT BRING ANY ANIMAL YOU CARE FOR OR LOVE TO THESE PEOPLE.
