I am not one to normally ever make a review but I have previously taken two of my dogs here to get fixed and there wasn’t an issue and I thought I could trust coming here for my third pup to get fixed. The staff was really nice and helpful I can’t complain about that. But I picked up my dog after his surgery and brought him home to rest as I had to go to work. When I got home I checked on him and saw a metal clip that was clipping his genitals together and he was in a lot of pain and didn’t want to walk and was crying. I rushed him to my vet for an emergency surgery since I was scared to touch it myself in fear of it holding a blood vessel. My vet and all the staff were in total shock when I brought him in and were taking pictures because they have never seen anything like it before. He had to stay over night and it was a 400 dollar vet bill since it caused damage to his genitals for how long it stayed there. I never thought I’d have to worry about anything like that happening and now my dog is on pain meds and not acting himself at all and sleeping all day due to the pain. I called pet fix to tell them what happened and all they had to say was “we put that there to stop the bleeding after the surgery but it was supposed to be removed before you picked him up. Sorry” and hung up. I was more shocked then anything and besides my self at this point. I’ll upload a picture of what it looked like once I get it from my vet.
I never leave reviews especially if I’ve had a negative experience but I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. My dog was fixed on Thursday 3/21. On Sunday 3/24, I called the emergency line because he was bleeding. They told me to apply pressure and bring him in on Monday “if I want to”. Something didn’t feel right so I brought him to my regular vet. I didn’t have him fixed at my vets office because the appointment date and price was better with pet fix. My vet informed me that his incision was never closed and that’s why he was bleeding and he had developed an infection in the open wound. I have tried to call & did not get an answer or a call back from Pet Fix to have them acknowledge and apologize for this. To be clear, the staff never told me that he was not closed up & did not indicate that they had any issue with the procedure. I had to pay $110 to fix him and then almost $100 at my vet so I suggest just going to your vet to begin with. Also notice the fact that you cannot add comments/feedback on the pet fix Facebook page.
Busy because they're great and inexpensive so schedule your appointment like 3 months in advance. I failed to do this once and my cat Stevie got out of the house and got pregnant before the appointment. So, you have to think ahead. I'm so pleased with this place. It's a low cost option. I've had two different cats, one boy and one girl, at this place. It's a super quick, easy process of dropping them off and picking them up. It's very affordable. I think it was $90 for rabies, a cone collar and for his surgery and medication for the male cat. Female one was like 2 years ago and was $180 but this time it came with rabies shot, surgery, meds, flea meds, microchip and maybe a few other things. Honestly, I just appreciate a clinic that posts its prices for routine things.
When it comes to pet care, kindness, consideration, and overall great care for your fur kids, I can't say enough positive things about this place and their staff! They genuinely care about quality service at an affordable price, helping to keep more pets in happy homes and are doing good work to help lessen the stray population (with an amazing catch and release program for ferals). Their vaccine clinic is a life-saver and is a great way to keep your pets healthy and up to date.
My two kittens were spayed at this location yesterday and this was my first time there. Scheduling and paperwork was easy and entirely digital, friendly staff, quick check in/out, clean facility, surgeries went smoothly and recovery is going smoothly as well... Not to mention price is incredibly reasonable and no one "pressured" me into buying any product or service that I didn't already ask for. Thank you to everyone there for the quality care!
I went in to get my 4 month old shihpoo his vaccinations. I was a walk-in . We waited a total of 20 minutes (service included). Everyone was extremely polite, friendly, and professional. Needless to say, I'm pleased, and my baby is happy.
