We love Dr. Fady. We've been to about three veterinarians in SF before finding Dr. Fady, but he is by far the most empathetic and kind dog whisperer! We go to him for our annual checkups for our two dogs as well as our allergy shots for our younger dog and TPLO surgery for our older dog. Before the surgery, he called us to check in on Mugi, and made sure that all of our questions were answered. And after the surgery, he called to check in on her to make sure she was doing well. We're so glad we found him and would definitely recommend!
I have been taking my pups to urban pet for a few years now and they have seen both my pups as patients. The vets, vet techs, and front desk staff are all extremely friendly and warm, and you can tell they genuinely care about your pet. I want to especially shout out the front desk team because they are always quick to respond and help resolve any questions I have for them. Pets are part of your family and mean so much, so it's really comforting to know you're bringing your furry friend to a place that they will be well cared for. I would highly recommend urban pet hospital to anyone looking for a clinic with staff who are friendly, caring, and good at what they
Urban Pet Hospital got me in so quickly to help my dog, and the staff, nurses, and doctor were so so kind. You can tell they love animals here!!!! Everything was explained very clearly, and nothing felt rushed. Highly recommend for urgent care needs!
I’ve been taking my dog here since I adopted her in 2019 and every time we go it is a good experience. The vets are always very helpful and kind and answer all my questions. I have a very anxious pup and everyone that works there is always so patient and sweet to her. I’m sad we’re moving away and have to change vets but definitely would recommend Urban Pet Hospital to others for their pets :)
I called Urban Pet Hospital to inquire if they had emergency services and if my dog which had a uti, needed to be seen right away. They gave me the option to bring her in in the next thirty minutes as they had an appointment available which I appreciated them telling me as it spared me the emergency cost. They were nothing short of gentle, kind and personable with me and my husky! They provided great care and at a great cost. A huge thank you to all the staff as they made something that’s usually very stressful a walk in the park.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR EMERGENCIES!! I am appalled by the experience I had here. I came in as an emergency for a bad cat scratch to my newly adopted puppies eye. I was told that our only option would be to have his eye removed, that it had to happen immediately, and that it would be $6-10k. Thank goodness I decided to ask the rescue our puppy came from for advice and they said to see an eye specialist. As a new dog parent, I didn’t even know that was an option and Urban Pet Hospital never mentioned seeing a specialist as a possibility. The next day the specialist (from Animal Eye Care in Pleasanton) performed a much cheaper surgery (3k) and his eye and vision are completely saved. I don’t want to blame the staff at Urban Pet because they were really emotionally supportive, rubbing my back as I cried and telling me to take my time in the check up room. Maybe they are just really poorly trained? Regardless, it’s unacceptable that as a new dog parent I was told my only option was to have my puppies eye removed when it was completely unnecessary. On top of that, he was sent home with a soft cone so he could just rub his hurt eye on it. Putting him in a hard cone so he can’t rub the eye would seem like common sense. Please revisit your vet training.
