Everyone was so nice! Even after I had my two dogs neutered, they were quick to help me with questions and I was even able to send the Doc pictures of the wound to make sure it wasn’t getting infected. Great experience!

The process was so smooth. I called to ask for pricing and ended up scheduling the appointment. They are by far the cheapest for neutering services of all places I called. They were knowledgeable and informative. I walked in and was welcomed by friendly assistants. You can tell they’re there because they love what they do. Sebastian wasn’t skittish or scared when we picked him up which was my biggest worry as I’ve never left him with anyone.

HORRIBLE & HEART-BREAKING EXPERIENCE AT SPAY AND NEUTER CLINIC OF THE CAROLINAS (8045 Providence Road) RIP Rufus the Cat (2010-2024) Hello everyone. I’ve been on Google for many years, and I’ve NEVER left a negative review about anyone or any business. However, as an animal lover, I feel obligated to let you know about our TERRIBLE experience at the SPAY AND NEUTER CLINIC (SNC) on Providence Rd. Sorry this post is so long, but my family and I are heart-broken (and furious) about our experience, and we want other pet owners to be warned about what’s going on at this place. We adopted our sweet cat “Rufus” (a kind and affectionate bobtail cat!!) 14 years ago. Last month, Rufus stopped eating. We decided to take him to SNC (HUGE mistake). In addition to a full exam, we instructed them to take either an x-ray or an ultrasound, in case there was an internal “blockage” (a common reason for a cat to stop eating) or other internal issue. They told us that this was their standard practice anyway, in a case such as this one (a very old cat, not eating). Later that day, the SNC doctor gave us the diagnosis...Rufus wasn’t eating because his teeth were rotting, and she recommended surgery to pull all of his teeth (except the very front few). Obviously, this was a horrible surgery for Rufus (or any older cat), which required anesthesia and 7-14 days of painful recovery. They performed the surgery and told us that Rufus should start eating within 2-3 days, once the pain and swelling started to improve. This is when things went south... *Rufus did NOT improve after 3 days. *We left voicemails and sent emails to SNC several times over the next 3 days, with NO RESPONSE. (!!!???) *Someone finally answered the phone on a Friday, and we told her it was urgent that she tell the doctor that Rufus was still not eating (for 2 weeks now), and to call us ASAP. *No call from the doctor. The weekend came and went with Rufus showing no improvement. *We left more voicemails and sent emails on Monday, NO RESPONSE. (!!!???) *On Tuesday, we took Rufus into the office. We asked the front desk why they were not returning our calls / emails, and they said they were having “system issues”. (Huh???) *We asked the doctor why she didn’t call us back, and she explained that she was having difficulties with the front desk workers’ performances. She verbally “scolded” two of them right in front of us for not giving her our messages. So much for “system issues”... *The doctor had no idea why Rufus still wasn’t eating. She gave him 2 very painful shots (he screamed during both) to stimulate his appetite, and sent home some appetite stimulants for us to give him. *Nothing they did worked. After a few more days, Rufus was having trouble breathing and could barely move around. We knew that something else had to be wrong, and decided to take him to the 24-hour emergency clinic. *We asked SNC if we could have Rufus’ x-ray / ultrasound results to take with us. WE WERE INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A “MIX-UP”, AND NEITHER AN X-RAY NOR ULTRASOUND WAS TAKEN. (!!!???) Our Rufus was an old, sick cat that had completely stopped eating, and they didn’t even take an x-ray before diagnosing him??? Unbelievable !! *The emergency vet immediately took an x-ray, and found that Rufus had a mass (cancer) on his lung. SNC had completely misdiagnosed him. *Since he was in such terrible shape at this point (barely breathing, and hadn’t eaten in 3 weeks), there was nothing they could do. We had no choice but to have poor Rufus euthanized. RIP Rufus...we’ll miss you. (Please read part 2 of our review below)

I recently brought my dog in to get neutered. This location is clean, efficient and kind! They walked through everything ahead of time when I set up the appointment. I loved the access of communication via email. I also really love that this was much more affordable than what my vet quoted me. If you’re debating on this location and another, I’d definitely choose this location!

Very compassionate and loving vets. The entire office takes great care of animals. I’ve had my dog spayed here, lots of shots and unfortunately we had to have my sweet Snowy put to sleep. The vets and office staff here were the absolute best with us and her.
