The staff are magnificent! I’ve been taking my furry babies to Animal Medical Hospital & Urgent Care for years. They put me at ease and provide my babies with the best medical care. I’ve taken advantage of their cat boarding service and they have been very communicative via text and email since I am anxious being away from my little baby. I highly recommend taking your pets in for loving care and safe boarding.

I have always been pleased with the love and care our cats received. Sadly, our 3 senior cats had to be euthanized within the past year due to their illnesses. I appreciated their concern for what was best for our girls and their quality of life. Having never done this before I was heartbroken but certainly felt their staff was gracious and kind to me during these experiences. 4 months ago my husband and I adopted 2 new girls, Zoe and Poppy. They have helped to heal our hearts.

Our dog's health was declining so we reached out to Animal Medical Hospital to discuss end of life plans. They were extremely kind and caring and sent us a document to rate various aspects of his life. That document helped us quantify his quality of life and was really helpful in annotating the sharp decline he took towards the end. When it was painfully obvious that it was time to say goodbye we reached back out to Animal Medical Hospital. They informed us of the process for how to go about euthanizing him and we drove there later that evening. Animal Medical Hospital handled the whole situation with grace and compassion from the initial check-in procedures in the isolated room with a private entrance to the moment we had to say goodbye. Dustin and Dr. Thomas were compassionate and sincere during this difficult time. We even received a handwritten card in the mail from Dr. Thomas two days later. Compared to the last time when we had to euthanize our other dog at a different facility, our experience at Animal Medical Hospital was vastly superior. When you unfortunately have to go through this process, I highly recommend Animal Medical Hospital.

It has been four solid weeks of GI upset, discomfort, and lethargy for our 3-year-old Labrador, Finn. We’ve tried all the things with our vet’s guidance. When nothing worked, we were referred to an internal medicine specialist. Animal Medical Center in Charlotte has been fantastic! They saw us one day after getting our referral. Dr. Bishop and his team were incredibly friendly and professional. He explained the various treatment options beautifully. Together, we have a plan to hopefully get Finn feeling like himself again. Hopefully, you’ll never need emergency or specialty veterinary care but if you do, don’t hesitate to call Animal Medical Center. -Labrador Lovers Lake Wylie, SC

If you’ve adopted your pet from the humane society you’ll be given a coupon that offers a free comprehensive physical exam, and an additional $100 gift card for certain services If you take your pet to this hospital for the exam. It sounded like a great deal but overall it was to good to be true. This animal hospital is typically for emergencies only, with that being said they triple charge you for basic services and products. The staff were extremely friendly and gentle with my new fur baby. But the prices are ridiculous if you don’t have an emergency. Do yourself a favor and take your pet to a standard veterinary clinic . My bill came up to almost $400 and that included the free physical exam and $100 gift card. I was charged 3 times the price for a product I could get over the counter and for a nail trim but didn’t realize until reviewing my bill later in the day. Great staff but they are completely overcharging for there services. Great for emergencies I’m sure but wouldn’t recommend them for anything else.

I brought my dog in to see Dr. Bishop for an ultrasound and he was amazing. He explained everything in great detail and answered all of my questions. He was able to give me some tough news in such a compassionate way, which was very appreciated. From the front staff to the technician to the doctor-everyone was very caring to me and my little boy. Thank you.
