We were going to the national chain VCA vets when we first had Mila and I’ll say to anyone you will not regret leaving them and coming to Kenton Animal hospital. They treat the animals and their parents with a lot of respect. They give you treatment choices (as opposed to always the most expensive treatment option). They will let you know when you can work on natural cures or when you should think about the next option. My dog actually likes coming here. So do I. Oh and when you make a scheduled time they are actually ready to see you then. Something’s may cost a little more, but it is worth it, and I think you will save money, getting the straight scoop from vets who care here at Kenton Animal hospital rather than vets who are pushed toward giving treatment options by the provider.

I’ve just taken my extremely nervous wriggly little dog to Cathedral Animal Hospital for his annual shots and lab tests. Thanks to the patient and supportive team at CAH, we were able to calm and reassure him enough to get everything done. They provide clear preparation instructions and reminders by phone and e mail which is helpful is setting up a successful visit. Everyone there is professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended as a vet you can trust with your pup’s health needs.

The whole team here was friendly, helpful, and accommodating to me & my nervous pup. They were careful to not push her beyond her limit, so future vet visits can be an overall positive experience. They also followed up a few days later to check on her and see if we had any questions. Highly recommend choosing care at Kenton Animal Hospital!

My cat Stevie is extremely difficult to bring to the vet. Often her aggressive behavior is underestimated and everyone leaves the experience traumatized 😅 The experts at Kenton Animal Hospital took our needs very seriously and used proper sedation right away before Stevie had a chance to get worked up. I really appreciate their trust in me as I know my cat best! We had a successful visit.

Kenton has been a great experience! I work in ER Vet Med so I am VERY picky about where I go. I recently got a new kitten, and took her here for her vaccines. I saw Dr. Kathryn Kirstein who is extremely kind, warm and patient. I appreciated them being understanding of my knowledge in the field and allowing me to ask questions/give my opinion freely. They are very thorough during new puppy/kitten exams of everything they recommend, and what to expect in the long term. Working in ER, it made my heart happy that they discuss insurance with clients, as well as discuss local ER’s/Urgent Cares in the area. It is of the upmost importance to me to have a fear free experience, and Lint has every time. All conversations via email or phone have been pleasant, and Libby is always exceptionally kind. Though some people may consider this a more expensive hospital, I think you are paying for high quality care and a well-trained staff. Lint and I are both sad she is fully vaccinated and won’t be back soon. I recommend Kenton to clients frequently!

Our 11 year old cairn terrier was always nervous going to her last vet but she walks straight to the front door whenever we've visited Kenton Vet! Dr. Stephanie is a wonderful blend of western and eastern advice, meds and supplements for our pup and spends ample time answering questions. We feel like our senior dog will be in good hands as she ages!
