Description Big Paws Large Breed Rescue nonprofit is a home-based, no-kill rescue dedicated to taking in owner surrenders and giving them a temporary safe home until we find them new loving families.We don’t judge. We rescue dogs from many different situations every year in the area. As well as outside the area. We aim to provide a safe adoption process. We are dedicated to fighting animal cruelty and believe no animal should need to be euthanized for lack of a home or space. If you want to save a dogs life contact us to set up an appointment to adopt or surrender. WE DO NOT TAKE IN CATS. WE DO NOT TAKE IN AGGRESSIVE DOGS. YOU CAN NOT JUST DROP YOUR DOG OFF HERE. THERE IS A PROCESS PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL THE RESCUE FOR INTAKE AND APPOINTMENT INFO.

Found our new family member at Big Paws Large Breed Rescue and we are absolutely in love with our new boy. Katabra is very kind and wants to make sure that each pupper and doggo goes to the right home so that it's a good fit for all involved. I appreciate Katabra and had such a positive experience. Big Paws Large Breeds was a great experience. She asked questions that showed that she truly cared about our dog and the other animals in her care. Thanks to this compassionate organization our dog that we could unfortunately not keep will have a good home. It was comforting, as parting with our dog was not an easy choice. Outstanding Performance 🐶🐶for for hospitality, zeal and drive ! Very clean shelter five stars ⭐️ professionalism five stars ⭐️ a person that shows they care about animals of any kind’ I been knowing ms Windham for years! I can honestly say she the Real deal’ she takes the time out to research what each animal needs for care etc ! I went to her home one day and I smelled something that smelled so good! I asked give me a plate’ 🤪she responded that’s my dog food! I replied WHAT? she explained how she created Gourmet meals for her dogs.i have never been jealous over a dog meal😂 I wish she could get more people to volunteer to help her ! There’s so much work that goes into what she do ! She don’t complain nor miss a beat💕! Thx for all you do Ms Windham may God continue to send you over and abundantly what you need! 🤲🏾💕r🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

We are so glad that we found Big Paws Large Breed Rescue! Katabra was easy-to-reach and highly responsive with all of her communication. The adoption process was very quick and efficient with pricing also being very reasonable and affordable. She was very honest and forthcoming with all of the known background information about our adopted pup, Pebbles. We never felt rushed or pressured during our meet-and-greet, and we had the chance to make sure that Pebbles felt completely comfortable with all members of our family. All we have to say is "pawsitive". Although Pebbles is not a large breed dog, she does have a huge heart and big personality. We have had Pebbles for over 2 months now, and she is a happy and healthy dog who loves everyone. We couldn't have found a better pup, and we are so happy to have found our fur baby. Thank you, Katabra, for opening your rescue for our community!
