I have fostered for various rescues, including Desert Harbor Doberman Rescue in Az for 20 years. I highly recommend DRM. As a foster, I felt welcomed and supported. I also felted supported when I adopted my girl Brownie from them. :) Wonderful group of knowledgeable volunteers. I highly recommend them.

Four years ago this week I picked up my beautiful Awesome Austin, who was a Hurricane Harvey victim from Texas. We are SO very grateful for the DRM and all that they do!! We are hoping to add a baby Blue girl soon as well. ♥️DRM

After going through their website, the polices and requirements, and the application, it became clear how invasive the application is to adopt a dog. I understand Dobermans are a specific breed that need special care, but goodness. I thought they want people to be able to adopt? Getting to know the background of the person/family adopting is important, of course, but there is such thing as too invasive of questions. You would think I was adopting a child for how personal the questions get and ask for too much (referrals to call, home visits, sign a contract and if its not done exactly like how they want it, they can come take the dog back?). Insane.

Caring donation based rescue doing all it can to help dobermans in need in the greater Minnesota area and out of state when able. Tons of knowledge and a lot of caring people. Volunteer, foster, or adopt there will be plenty of new friends and dobermans to love!

Wonderful group of people! We adopted from DRM and we are so happy with our experience. Angella was so kind, helpful, responsive, and the best volunteer coordinator we could have asked for! Definitely recommend supporting this organization!
