Dr Ruotsinoja is so great with our dogs. He really goes above and beyond any other veterinarian we’ve worked with before. We’ve called with many questions and he always gets back to us right away. He’s very knowledgeable and explains things so well to us. He’s been our vet for a few years now. Our dogs are both rescues and can take some time to warm up to people, especially to men. But they really like Dr Ruotsinoja, he’s so calm and gentle with them. Would highly, highly recommend.

Dr R. is kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. He has been so great to work with with my cats. He helped us through end of life care and euthanasia with our 17 year old cat. Dr. Ruotsinoja just came to my house this afternoon to give my 2 cats their rabies shots and he is an amazing doctor. He is kind, gentle , patient, knowledgeable, friendly and takes a lot of time to examine your pet and explains everything to you. His prices are very reasonable and it is so less stressful not only for myself but for my cats to have them treated at home. I wished I would have used his services a long time ago. I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend him for house service. He returned my phone call within hours of me leaving a message. He also gave me holistic alternatives to use for when my cats are stressed.

Our family has used Dr. Steven Ruotsinoja since 1983, with our first cat, Chelsea. For the past 28 years he has so skilfully and tenderly cared for our dog and 3 more cats. He’s like family now. The toughest, most emotional moments are when your pet is euthanized. Dr. Ruotsino so peacefully took us through this process with all of our pets. Obviously, I highly recommend him as a vet and as a family friend.

Upon first calling Dr. Ruotsinoja, I was impressed with his timely and candid responses. The service itself is impressive and reasonible. I don't know why house calls ever became a thing of the past expecially for veterinary medicine. It just makes sense when you have a larger species that is down and out. Anyhow, he gave the adults and the children a peace of mind which is a kind of magic. We have since nursed our German Shephard mix back to the health she was in before her incident. The doctor gave it a 30% chance and his knowledge of animals and bedside manner with their owners gave this 30% chance more power. I am grateful. Cost for peace of mind is big and this was not a large bill. Thank you, Doc! If you ever have spare time to come visit, you'd be welcome and Sam-dog would be familiar, I am sure. The doggy-diapers went the way of dinosaurs and we carry her up and down the stairs to preserve her old limbs from further injury when she needs a potty break. We have a livable situation with an aging dog where she still pulls her weight, and we give a little more.
