An absolutely PHENOMENAL experience at CARE. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this emergency hospital. My dogs stomach had flipped which is an often fatal diagnosis and the CARE team specifically Veronica, Josh, and the DR. We cannot remember her name but she worked easter during the day when he came in. She answered every single question I had and was so incredibly kind and sincere in her care for my dog. Hopper is recovering well and every time I have called with questions they have been so patient and supportive. 100% will return if ever necessary!!

Every single positive review for CARE is just a small sample of how amazing this place and the people are. My sweet pup, Barley, was diagnosed with a parathyroid tumor and due to the nature of this diagnosis we ended up having multiple visits for follow up testing after her initial 3 night surgery and hospital stay. Knowing my whole heart was going to be away from me for multiple days was beyond stressful - but from the very first consult I knew that not only was she in great hands, but in very loving hands. I just need to give a few shoutouts to some of the incredibly special people who helped bring my girl back to full health: Dr Dvorak, your skill is a gift for all of us pet parents you have helped. The years you have dedicated to learning your craft as a surgeon are so immensely appreciated. I cannot thank you enough for your genuine care for my best girl. I owe her quick recovery to you! Dr Gunstra, thanks so much for being there during the hours Dr Dvorak was away, for keeping me updated on B’s recovery and answering all my follow up questions. Kat and Jennifer, two of B’s techs: You literally loved on my girl like I do and I cannot tell you what that meant to me. Jennifer called me back late on a Friday evening to let me know how B was doing in ICU and to tell me “what a peach” she was and how everyone loved her - which literally helped me get some sleep that night. And Kat checked her schedule every morning to see if she would get to see Barley on her shift. She literally celebrated with me when we finally got B’s first good test results! Then there is Michelle - my front desk bestie - who greeted us every morning with a smile when we came in for tests, who distracted me when I needed distraction - and who even helped me dry out my car when it got rained in. CARE is not only a place of healing - and trust me, you will get the absolute very best treatment available - it’s like walking into a living room where family is waiting to love on you and support you through what could be a really stressful time. I will never ever forget how much you guys loved on my girl. Thank you is not enough. My 15-year-old cat had to be put down last night. She had cancer and she was in lots of pain and wasn’t doing well. It was time, it could not be put off any longer. We brought Kayla to care. As sad of an event it was. It was done in such a special way. They gave us time in a private, room with her and told us when we were ready to let them know . it gave us that special, time to say goodbye. Care also got the name of our vet so we would not get reminders for shots. She was in a blanket on our lap the whole time . Not only did she remain in our lap. When we left there,We were able to leave right from the room to the outside, to our car. That gave us the privacy of people not seeing us through the waiting room leaving without our pet crying. Care obviously put a lot of effort in the way. They handle last moments of life with your special fur baby. This is a picture of Kayla during her healthy time.

We had the experience every pet parent dreads when our healthy boy suddenly fell very ill. We took him to CARE and I cannot tell you how wonderful they all were. So communicative through all hours of the day and night, detailed and thorough explanations and they truly truly care and understand all the emotions of a pet parent. Our Morgan Freeman was in the best of hands and because of the amazing doctors and staff we were able to be with him. Highly recommend.

We were referred to CARE by our family vet for an X Ray on our dogs chest because it looked like there was a mass. I’ll keep this short-Dr. Carlin was nothing short of amazing. The compassion in her voice, the patience she had as we took the time to comprehend the news she was giving and the decisions we had to make. This was around 10:30 at night, as she was on night shift. When we had to bring our girl back at 7 am for our final goodbyes (even though we thought we would have her at least another week)…the woman at the desk said Dr Carlin was gone for the night and it would be someone else. We totally understood but we’re sad because she knew the situation the best. They had us walk into a side door with our baby instead of through the lobby and made it so private. They walked us through everything with love and compassion and in walked Dr Carlin. We had to ask the woman at the desk that was helping us and she told us Dr Carlin hadn’t left yet and new she wanted to be the doctor to help us with Averie. They were amazing. When everything was over we were able to walk out of the side door without passing by a lobby filled with people, all paperwork is done before hand so you can sit with your baby or leave quickly. They made our loss just a little bit easier and that we are forever grateful for.

The team at CARE is incredible! The doctors, technicians, and front desk staff are the best of the best. I took my pup in on Saturday night around 10pm for retching. She was a happy girl walking in, tail wagging, and wanted to greet everyone. She was seen by Dr. Shaw within an hour and he spoke with me shortly after. Initially, after all my options were presented to me, I went the more conservative route and decided to avoid any extensive testing, as the retching had stopped. I opted to take her home with some anti-nausea meds to see how she did, but Dr. Shaw told me that if she had any further issues, I could always bring her back for further tests. Well, less than an hour later, my pup started behaving unlike herself — she was very lethargic and her breathing was labored, so I immediately called CARE to let them know I was coming back in. She was examined a second time and this time, I did proceed with the additional tests (X-rays/CT), which showed she had aspiration pneumonia. Dr. Shaw was very transparent that I had two options, but recommended hospitalization. I am so glad he talked through my choices with me, and I’m even more glad I made the decision to have her stay at the hospital under the care of this team. I could tell that they cared for her as their own, and after a day and a half of IV fluids and antibiotics, along with constant monitoring, she seems to be feeling much better! I’m so thankful for the team at CARE and would recommend them to anyone, especially for their 24-hour emergency care. Thank you, CARE team! -Kylie & Roo
