If you are searching for a cat rescue that embodies compassion, professionalism, and genuine care, I wholeheartedly recommend Give Me Shelter. It is a place where cats are cherished, and their well-being is the top priority. It's a place where the cats that need a little more TLC can go, get socialized and get adopted. The cat we found on the streets was rejected by our local shelter, TNRed and was supposed to be turned loose on the street. This cat would have died if it were not for the kindness of Give Me Shelter. The cat was in a foster for a month and now has been adopted to a loving forever home. Thank you Give Me Shelter, you are angels.

I’m so grateful to this rescue! Lana was there when Trish Johnson of Saving Ferals of Tracy saved my two kitties from the Tracy Shelter that I had to sadly surrender as my elderly mother could no longer care for them due to sickness. They are a bonded pair and were adopted together to a wonderful, loving family! Thank you for all you do 😻

Lana, the founder and director, responded quickly to my email. The Petco staff were super welcoming and made it easy to donate food. They have a number of sweet kitties waiting for a home, some of which have been rescued from the central valley. I'll be back the next time I'm ready to adopt.

Their level of communication is awful. No response after I submitted my application. I basically had to hound them down on facebook to find out that the cat I submitted an application for wasn't available anymore. They should take a cat off of their website or put a pending note on the cat's profile once an adoption is in progress. Really unprofessional. Submitted another application. Again no response. Does anyone actually work here? Are these cats even real? Not sure why or even if this organization actually exists since they don't respond when you submit applications.

Late post, we adopted our sweet Willa Mays (formally peaches) 2 years ago and give me shelter was amazing. Willa is now super spoiled and loved. Thank you for saving her.

Another fabulous animal charity that focuses on older cats. These guys deserve our support. They have some really cute cats looking for new homes, so what are you waiting for? 😻
