Description Canine CellMates is a jail dogs program, operating out of Fulton County Jail since 2013. We recently took over a building, and will be expanding our mission with the addition of a diversion program working with the District Attorney's office. This innovate and unique approach to rehabilitation will incorporate working with rescue dogs, and life-changing curriculum, with the goal being to facilitate positive change, and reduce the possibility of a return to incarceration.

Best Organization EVER! My daughter adopted Mariah back in 2019. We never knew that our lives were incomplete until Mariah arrived and now we can’t imagine life without her. Mariah is beautiful, smart and loves to be loved. 🐶🐾❤️ Bless all of you at Canine Cellmates for giving so many beautiful dogs a second chance !

I used to volunteer here 13 yrs ago when it was Atlanta Pet Rescue Center! Started after work at 6-9 and moved to Saturdays assisting in the front office and pet kennels. Loved it! This would be a great place for the animals and cellmates to get together! So glad Georgia is doing this for its incarcerated people. Pit bills and parolees is another organization that is doing well in Louisiana. Tune in to their show on Animal planet.

This is a great place for a customized adoption for home trained dogs. Perfect really if you want that perfect dog!

As a Certified Humane Education Specialist, I cannot express the importance of the impact of these types of programs; for the benefit of the incarcerated (or newly released), the animals receiving care and training, and for humanity itself. I highly recommend your supporting this program.

Amazing program and great folks involved. If you are looking to adopt, they have some really sweet pups (and already trained as an extra bonus). If you aren't looking to adopt, there are great opportunities to volunteer as well.
