Nebraska Wildlife Rehab is a non-profit organization of professional wildlife rehabilitators working under permits from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. We've been loving these folks for many yrs now. Their new location is super convenient & easy to find. They are some of the most caring ppl you will ever meet. They have never turned down any creature I've brought to them, including tiny baby deer mice. They can always take your donations, especially newspaper for the bottom of cages. If you find a furry wild friend in need, I highly recommend giving them a call for help!

The absolute best professional rehabbers you can find for injured/found wild animals. They rehabbed and released a turtle I found hit by a car with a broken shell. If you've got an injured/orphaned wild animal they will take care of it. Please remember to wear bite resistant gloves and/or rubber gloves if you have to handle a wild animal.

Great facility. Knowledgeable and caring Staff. Spoke to me on phone 1st to make sure bird wasn't a fledgling feeding from the ground buy indeed needed assistance before we removed from his habitat. She very patient and kind and took a moment to answer some of my questions so I was better informed about the remainder of backyard birds we feed and observe.

My review is based off of our terrible experience we had here when we were dropping off a baby Cottontail bunny. Who’s family all died as the people grading our yard didn’t know they were there as the only bunny that survived jumped into our basement window. We took care of it for a few days and called the rehab center they said yes bring him in. Cool we drove from Gretna to this place and even gave a ton of donations that we got for the baby bunny. Now the issue I have is the young lady who was at the front desk was horrible. And by horrible I mean I had to take my 2 year old and 5 year old inside with me and both were crying because they wanted the baby bunny to stay with us. And this young women would not allow my kids to be able to say goodbye to the bunny. She told us they can only say goodbye in the itty bitty gerbal cage. And as a 5 year old they do not understand that. And this women had no compassion at all. I asked if there was a room I can sit her down to calm down and she can say bye. And she’s said no every room is full. That was a red flag for me. She then attempts to make my child worse by saying the bunny can die and have a heart attack if she holds him. Even though we’ve bottled fed it and have fed it and everything already. She was saying how this bunny was a cotton tail and facts that a 5 year old crying upset is not going to understand. She’s 5. No compassion at all and I mean at all. Next time we find an animal that needs to go to a wildlife rehab. I would rather drive out of state to another rescue who understands compassion and not just only care to get the animal from you asap.

Highly recommend! So thankful for these wonderful volunteers who are committed to helping animals. They helped me save a sweet turtle I named Pippet! I’ve been pretty sad & upset at a situation I was in, have done a lot of crying and the only thing that made me feel happy inside was knowing this rescue was on their way to pick her up and they’ll do the best for her. And they held their promise. I will never hesitate to call them again if in need. All I can ask is you’re patient, please leave them a message they will return your call. Love them! 🐢❤️
