Staff was wonderful and all the animals appeared to be comfortable, safe, and well taken care of. I adopted my new best friend on the spot! Mo (now Monet) came home with me that very first visit! (There were many conversations with the management beforehand).

I applied to adopt a dog and just 3 hours later a lady named Julie L was outside of my house taking pictures of my fence and yard without my permission! She and her husband drove by several times and then her parked at a nearby business and she got out so she could walk by my house and into my yard to take pictures of my fence! Then emailed me to tell me that my application was denied because of a fence issue. Her reason for the drive by was because she couldn’t see clearly enough from Google maps!! Crazy lady!! I did not make an appointment for a home visit! These people are nuts!!!

My wife and I were looking to adopt a furry little friend and give it their forever home. We just moved to Watson and got our first home together. We were ready to get another dog to add to the family . We selected a dog we wanted to have a play date with our current dog. Without any notice, the foster parent stalked our home. She didn’t like that we kept our gate open and that we were close to a highway. The fact that someone would judge a family/house (without even meeting us or coming inside our home ) based on the fact that our gate was open is borderline insane. We obviously would keep our gate closed with a brand new dog that we don’t know their personality. That poor little dog missed out on a great home that would take care of them and shower them with love. I understand they need to do their due diligence but to stalk my home with no notice is wild. It’s unfortunate that his adoption clinic gets a bad review based on one crazy foster parent

We tried to adopt a small dog from this place. We went through the process and were so excited only to be told that because we live in a townhome ( we own in a nice gated home community) that we didn’t have enough of a backyard to adopt this little dog. It was a huge let down because we had so much love to give this precious little dog. He had already been staying with a foster mother for a very long time (who was being extremely particular) and they found something wrong with where we lived, even though our community is very pet friendly and most everyone has pets here. We told them we would walk him daily plus we had a small backyard area as well, which was just finishing up getting fenced in. How upsetting for this dog when he finally ( if they ever agreed) ever does ever get adopted. He’s been living with a foster mom for so long (because of their unwillingness to home him) that it’s going to be disruptive to take him away from where he thinks already is his forever home. Our experience with this place was not good, very disheartening to say the least. We now have two little dogs that we got elsewhere and they are so very loved and happy!! We adore and spoil them daily! I do understand screening people to get great homes but they are much too particular and difficult to work with that it’s a wonder any of these animals get placed in homes at all.

They posted a dog for adoption one morning. I went to the Adoption House as soon as they opened that same day, spent some time with the dog, and filled out adoption paperwork for him. I called the next day to follow up and was told another family had been approved to adopt him the weekend prior, before he was posted as available. Additionally, I was told I wouldn't be approved for any dog there because I live in a high rise building (12 floors). I'd understand if it were a big dog, but this was a very small dog, 10-pounds fully grown. I'm not sure why an elevator ride is a deal-breaker. Do they think there are no loving and attentive pet owners in any city? I feel sorry for the dogs that can't get a home sooner because of their unrealistic restrictions.

Saw this place driving down the street and decided to stop. I fell in love with one of the pups so I decided to put in an application. One of the questions asked if there would be other dogs in the home. I told them I didn’t have any other dogs so I put no on the application. After, she asked if I had any dogs prior and I said yes so I had to fill out the other portion of the application. After I turned it in they asked what vet my previous dog went to and I told them the dog was for my ex and he handled everything but he went to banfield pet hospital for all of the dog’s needs. Didn’t think anything of it until my application got denied the next day because my ex’s dog (which was not mine and was not coming to live with me) didn’t have any updated shot records. I’m confused as to what that has to do with me adopting a dog for myself? It wasn’t my dog so it wasn’t my responsibility and my ex and I broke up a year ago. After looking at some of the other reviews I’m starting to think they’re only letting certain people adopt dogs from this place. If these dogs need a home why are you making it difficult for to get adopted?
