We recently lost our baby Maybelle. All of the staff were so understanding and kept encouraging that we did everything we could. We had her cremated, and we got so many additional things we didn’t expect. First of all, the box is beautiful- and I definitely appreciated her coming IN the box so I didn’t have to put her in the box like some places do. We got a paw print mold, paw and nose prints on paper, a lock of her fur, and two cards personally signed by staff. This was an extremely difficult thing for my son and me, and feeling like they genuinely care about Maybelle and her family is really helpful. I appreciate it so much. When we’re ready for another pet, we’ll be returning here. *I will say- these extra things may have been on the cremation paperwork, but I was a mess and just chose an option so I’m not sure. But to us they were extras.
They are AMAZING!!! This is twice that I have called them with an emergency. Their only response both times was "Bring her as quickly as you can." That is nothing short of truly heroic. I will forever be grateful for them. Standing ovation for Reelfoot Animal Clinic. Also, the staff is super courteous and overly accommodating.
Beware of this Veterinarian office in union city, Tennessee. We suspected that my dog had an ear infection, so we took him in to have him looked it. The doctor looked in his ears , said they looked red and prescribed suspension ear drops to be given for seven days. After the third day, my dog, who had exceptional hearing, was completely deaf. We did take him for a second opinion with another Veterinarian who told us that the medication has been known to cause deafness. Had the first doctor told us this information before prescribing the drops, we NEVER would have used the drops or accepted them for treatment. These drops are Surolan drops and they have rendered my dog deaf. I'm incensed that the first Veterinarian gave us no information before prescribing them. BEWARE OF REELFOOT ANIMAL HOSPITAL!
I highly recommend this place especially if you have Dr. Allan. Bonus that the vet techs and front staff are equally as amazing. I would like to note I personally do not recommend Dr. Middlebrook and that might be because how spoiled we are from the compassion and thoroughness Dr. Allan gives our questions and concerns. I’ve tried to give Dr. Middlebrook the benefit of the doubt, however after two visits with him he comes off as very rushed and dismissive. Most recently he walked out of the room while I was answering his question he had asked us. If that’s your cup of tea he’s perfect for you. We personally prefer vets that don’t rush or shut down our questions and concerns. Nonetheless, this clinic is the best around and you’ll feel that the second you talk to the front staff.
Our baby was sick. We called got an appointment the same day. Dr. Hooks was so friendly and helpful. They did a fecal sample and the way it was done our dog didn't even notice. Our dog usually doesn't like strangers but he really liked Dr. Hook. He was wonderful with our baby. So happy with the services we received.
Dr. Ferguson is an AMAZING vet. She is caring and compassionate. I wish I would have found her sooner.
