Most compassionate staff of veterinary professionals. So glad we switched veterinarians. VCA Povar in Riverside not only provides excellent veterinary care to our babies they also have exceptional customer service. They make us feel safe and comfortable trusting our love ones into their care. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our old man but VCA tried their best and were supportive of our journey and helped us keep our big boy comfortable and at home prior to letting him go. They sent out family the most heartfelt sympathy card with personal notes from the staff. We continue to bring our girl to main her health and wellness needs.

Povar Animal Hospital got us in quickly when my cat needed them. They were on time and super nice and thorough. Althiugh it was expensive, I guess you get what you pay for so I wouldnt want to go cheap for kitty's medical care. Thank you Povar

I'm a dog trainer and many of my clients recommended them and couldn't say enough good things. So we switched. And for a while things were great and we got better service compared to our previous vet. But now the quality of service and compassion has tanked. And they are SLOW. Long wait in the waiting room, long wait in the exam room, then we answer all the techs questions, another long wait in the exam room, then we answer all the doctors questions that the tech had asked previously. Then another long wait. The result of big business getting involved. As of this writing everyone that has recommended them to me has since switched vets for the same reasons. There are many independently owned practicies in Rhode Island and the Providence area. I would seek them out instead.
