Called this morning on a Sunday because most places at 8am are closed apparently as it shows per Google, fully aware that I was calling somewhere out of range of where I live I called to get some advice on an injured mourning dove cause by a stray cat, as soon as I called and asked if they take care of bird wildlife she got real rude with me and said yeah that’s what we do, and I real sued the situation that a cat got a hold of a mourning dove and he was still alive, and on his back, she relayed well first take him off of his back, and relayed real quickly that I have 2 million dollar companies nearby me here in South Houston I could take him to and I quote, and I relayed I searched up rescues near me and it doesn’t get specific with me it shows me 10 plus places in the area and it apperantly showed me their establishment as an option, , she was trying to hang up on me already by saying that she had a lot of other calls to respond to but I demanded she tell me the names atleast before she hung up, when she did almost unwillingly she than repeated again that she had a lot of calls to get to, and I hung up, I wasn’t being rude in any way of course and I specifically told her at the beginning that I knew I was out range, just wanted advice and if she knew where I could take it, and I had asked if they dealt with wild birds because I called elsewhere prior and they chuckled and relayed they don’t deal with injured mourning doves just mammalian wildlife saying he doesn’t think anyone will take it. when I looked up the rescues that corresponded to me Houston Humane Society Wildlife Center they were closed still and Google related that they don’t open till 10am

When unable to reach business regarding a Squirrel.. we go to business that shows open. Then threatened upon trespassing while there no signs and no returned calls. Then threatened to be ticketed by a game warden to make sure a rescue Squirrel was safe that was taken from me while she couldn't even return my calls. Insane. Literally blocked in a place of open business threatened for trespassing and ticketed for game animal I'm trying to make sure is safe. At that she tells me she don't take Squirrels when she's the only reference in county. The woman is a quack! May karma take hold on that one!

Gulf coast came to my rescue today when I found a distressed turtle by my apt. patio. They came to help, and took the turtle to the rescue. Thank you so much for helping me, you were so nice and kind.

Dana is so extremely talented! I admire her and think the world of her. I'm just in awe! These people just can be beat for competence and experience. I have the greatest admiration for them and the wonderful job they do. Thank you Gulf Coast Wildlife Rescue for all that you do!

Saw this organization out in Surside Beach on the bird and butterfly trail. They had several animals out, they were very informative about the animals and about the environment.
