This shelter actually enforces their rules and only ask for what is necessary for the mission to keep running. The picture below is for this month's Mission needs.

Wonderful ministry! Feeding helping homeless people. Wonderful place to work on drug recovery. There's Bible teaching and in many ways a christ-centered community. I personally know the leadership and they are great.

South Coast Gospel Mission is phenomenal Christian center where lives are changed, people have the ability to get off the streets, get 3 meals a day and have counseling. Along with that comes accountability; you must remain drug free while at the center, attend the classes offered, and also have some behavior accountability. It is sad to see negative reviews from previous residents who were unable to do this and had to leave the center. Jason has an unbelievable heart for the residents having been one himself several years back. I have had the privilege of seeing many changed lives at SCGM when I visit Coos Bay from Southern California off the past couple of years. You should take the time to drop by and see in person the miracles that occur there each month.

The Mission there in Coos Bay has seen a dramatic reshuffling of their upper Management Staff. The guy running the place now is very solid and actually cares about the residents. I never experienced the previous administration, but I've been told it was pretty harsh. There is however one Old staff member who's still there. He plays nice in front of his boss and is a snake when boss man isn't around. So beware of him. He's the only one who lives there and is older than Moses, so shouldn't be too hard ta single him out, as the Judas of the facility.

I give one star only because I have to. The director is so far from godly it is sickening. They allow someone that is actively using drugs as a house mother. She is far from being a housemother unless bulling women is being a good person. If your accused of doing something that is far from your own personal nature you will be kicked out. This will be done without reason done late and done on a weekend so other resources can't help you for days. Your forced back onto the streets. This is not God's work and these people have no godly desire to help anyone. A cult like atmosphere that is of the evil of Satan.

Joshua is the problem with the lack of resources in this town. How dare you say you're a shelter. Your funds are misappropriated. You are a recovery center using tax payers dollars for your own "greater" good. This is the only place that offers a bed and meal because you are fooling your community. Joshua you are stealing and using your communities money for your own benefits and pride. Shame on you. I was robbed of everything I had because I was turned away needing a bed for one night. You be judged!!!!
