We got a sweet 2 year old kitty here. We were given as much time as we wanted to get to know any/all the cats on our own. We're given a free vet visit voucher good for 10 days after adoption for vet of our choosing from a large local list. All the pets looked healthy and seemed content, not stressed. Cages clean with plenty of food/water. Also was the best price I'd found $97.00 for spayed/vaccinated/deformed healthy happy cat.

I went there on 4/13 to get a female kitten and left with a 1 year old male cat who turned out to be exactly what my family needed and wanted. He is the Sweetest cat ever, litter trained, neutered, and amazing with my 14 month old. The people working their were so kind and patient and helpful while we took our time looking at all the cats to see which one would best suit our growing family with young children.

My son and I connected with a dog and wanted to adopted him so bad. They said to call on Tuesday at noon which I did. They told me he was already adopted. I was so sad because I could have given this dog a most loving home. When I called about it the nasty girl at the counter she said oh well there is other dogs, got to go and hung up on me.

I was interested in a dog for adoption, and was given an appointment this week of Wednesday. I show up, and they tell me the dog is getting spayed and they shouldn't have scheduled that appointment. So, I get another appointment after spending 45 minutes learning about the dog and provide my phone number as I now cannot get back to see the dog until Saturday. The shelter staff was adamant they would call me should she get adopted. I come today and was told "what about one of her puppies" when I firmly expressed no, I was told "there were complications in her spay" and then "she was adopted already." I've now gone twice and never provided the opportunity or informed. If she was available as they originally said on Wednesday, I would have had the opportunity to adopt her. No understanding of people's time or commitment. Lack of communication. I will go elsewhere. I even wanted to look into volunteering opportunities. If you want good communication, look elsewhere.

I read some of the negative comments and don't agree with them. We have adopted several animals from the shelter and I am impressed and humbled at the staff and their commitment and kindness to the animals. It is a busy environment and like most places, understaffed and underfunded. Still, you can tell that all staff truly care about what they do and to adopt the animals that they can. Unfortunately, some animals come in broken, and they don't have the resources to keep them indefinitely. Blame the people who create the issue, not the people that are doing the best they can to find homes for the animals they can place.

Nice people, but seems like they’re overloaded. Took my dog there for adoption, now he’s got a minor eye infection + is throwing up after spending a week here.
