I couldn’t imagine taking my fur-children anywhere but River City Animal Hospital. Time and time again, they offer exceptional care, genuine compassion, and invaluable support and guidance through regular checkups and emergent situations alike. We have gone through a lot of happy moments and horribly sad moments with our vet, and I couldn’t imagine going through all of them with any other vet than those at River City. 11/10 recommend folks to take their kiddos here.

I couldn't be happier with the care that my two kittens receive. The staff is incredibly professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They always take the time to explain every detail needed and make sure my kittens are comfortable and well taken care of. The facility is clean and well-organized, and scheduling appointments is a breeze. I highly recommend VCA River City to any pet owner looking for top-notch veterinary care.

We absolutely love Dr Johnson and the staff here!! We brought our dog for a quick visit a year ago and the meds percribed cured a lump that almost turned into a thousand dollar surgery. Then about a month ago, we had to make the gut wrenching decision to put down our 20 year old cat and Dr Johnson and the staff made this dreadful time for us as comfortable as it could be. They were so very sweet and attentive. They had us in a special dim lit comfortable room that felt like a warm living room. Dr Johnson made us feel at home. Her compassion and understanding along with her down to earth personality made the painful experience a lot easier for us. She talked to us like we had been friends forever. They sent us a beautiful sympathy card with our cat's paw and nose prints. The cremation service they used did and outstanding job preserving our cats memory in a beautiful wooden box with name plate. We didn't have to think of any details, they took care of preserving her memory for us perfectly. Today, my 5 year old dog had his annual visit and I just love how sweet they were with my 123 pound beast! He's never had such nice treatment. Dr Johnson tells you how it really is and doesn't make you feel obligated to get unnecessary services or products like other vets have done to us in the in the past. I simply love this vet office so much! Thank everyone there for everything!!

Dr Johnson is caring, compassionate and knowledgeable!! I’ve know her since we were kids growing up next door and I personally witnessed all her amazing dedication and trials to get where she is today! I can honestly say she’s truly an amazing veterinarian and person who you’d be lucky to have taking care of your fur babies! All of the staff there is amazing as well!! Very kind and caring facility all around!!

Love love love these guys. We took our family German shepherd here his whole life and they were so kind and had amazing memory options when putting your dogs down. Currently bringing my two chihuahuas as well. Great staff with big hearts that do amazing work.

On 4/20/2024 We went in at 5: am they opened their doors for us and was very welcoming they were so kind and comforting with us having to say goodbye to our fur baby Daisy we held and loved for 15yrs. She will be forever missed Thank you River city Animal Hospital for being so gentle and comforting.
