I just had the best visit with owner April at Shooting Star Services in Elk River! 🐾 If you you have specific needs for training, treats and food…this is the spot!! I came here for three reasons: 1) I have a dog that pulls on the leash and she was able to fit my corgi properly with a harness (because I was certain I was doing it wrong.) and she gave me tips and encouragement to continue training for better behaviors. 2) I am super picky about ingredients in dog food and treats and she was able to give me a ton of insight to confirm my research and suggest some things to pay attention to. 3) Lastly, my dog is a chewer and I have been scared that most options out there have the risk of tooth breakage. April was able to give me lots to think about and had good options on what else would work for us.

We boarded our dog with to find out she was while out of state the whole time, and getting updates was incredibly difficult. When we picked him up, we were told he had been bitten on the tongue but that "it was probably just play." However, we later found two additional bite marks on him. I reached out to April since my dog had never shown signs of food aggression, excessive barking, or sensitivity before. She said it could be because of him adjusting to being back home. She also emailed back, claiming her husband denied any bites had occurred. It feels like they're trying to cover things up. She even offered free lessons to correct the behavior, but my dog had been in training since he was three months old as he was a service dog and after that experience, wouls not recommend. He passed away unexpectedly a few weeks later after days in the ICU.

April is AMAZING! We have boarded all three of our dogs with her. We have also taken her training classes and she knows her stuff. The new store has everything you need for your furry friends. Recommend her 100% for anything animal related!

April’s knowledge of pet care and nutrition is phenomenal. She always there to help or answer questions. I would highly recommend her for all your pet needs! We have boarded our dog with April, when we went on vacation this spring. Enzo was happy and well taken care of. She offers a great location in a family setting. While he was there, April was able to change his diet to decrease shedding, and farting. Now he is looking better than ever and I can take him for car rides without being gassed out. If you are looking for someone to guide your dog to better health and obedience, this is the first place to start. Check out her store, she carries wide range of top quality cat and dog food, treats and more. Best part is reasonably priced.

April is the best dog trainer around! Very reliable, helpful, and passionate about the dogs and families she helps. I was turned away from so many trainers because my dog looks like a pitbull, but April accepted us with open arms. Not only is she willing to work with all different breeds, she is also knowledgeable about them. She has equipped us with the tools necessary to have a happy, healthy, and well trained dog. We will definitely continue to go to April with anything and everything related to our dog.

Great new shop that sells all your dog and cat needs. They just moved in and opened and only sell the best food and toys for my dogs and cat. Great staff and friendly service. Prices are lower than the other pet stores in town too. Planning to become a regular
