Description Welcome to "The Sanctuary at Pregnant Mare Rescue Pastures', an eight-acre sanctuary in Watsonville. We have seven permanent residents that are our healers. They provide the experience of the horse-human connection. We also have rescued pregnant mares sharing our pasture setting. Our sacred space is available and welcoming to host our healing programs.

I absolutely love being at Pregnant Mare Rescue. Peaceful, loving & kind. That's the energy, available to all that come meet the Mares & their babies. Along with the Sanctuary horses at pasture on Calabasas. 🤗💕

We had the most amazing visit. The horses seem so happy. It was a truly peaceful experience for all of us.

Such a wonderful program. As a past volunteer I have loved working here. Yes the work may be hard physically but the mental clarity you get from the horses is very relaxing. I would come out and spend time with the horses even on my scheduled days off. Lynn is an amazing woman and PMR needs as much assistance as it can get whether it is time volunteering, or any kind of donations. I wish I still lived in the area. I really miss my time there.

This place is so amazing. As a volunteer here it's so great to interact with the horses. Everyone is so nice here as well. All of the horses have been abused and we have taken them in. Not only do volunteers muck stalls we also walk and groom and feed then depending on what time you Volunteer. Most of them are in training to be the perfect horse and all are up adoption. Please take a chance to volunteer here or even adopt! :)

These people have no idea what they are doing. They need to contact a veterinarian, they are feeding alfalfa to young horses, allowing them to nurse off their mothers way too long and taking the babies from good homes because the mares are returned to them

Loved viditing Pregnant Mare Rescue today. Both my 18 yr old grandgirls, my 5 yr old grandson snd my daughter were very impressed by how well loved thw horses are. Lynn has so much passion for horses, their humane treatment and knowledge of the unique sensitivities that horses bring to relationship with humans. She is doing a wonderful work. i was especially struck by how well cared for each animal looked and behaved. Thank you Lynn!!
