NEVER buy an animal at this store. They sell sick animals. Purchased a Skinny pig from them, 3 weeks later.. it has green pus coming out of his nose. They only give a 3 day warranty because this store knows they sell sick animals… Do NOT buy anything from them. This place does not even solve the issue even if you call them and speak with the manager. Picture posted of this beautiful baby (he had make sure I was cleaning his home correctly, he was the sweetest little guy)

The dogs are given hamster water bottles unless the staff is told otherwise, which is unhealthy. They sit in tiny glass cages all day and only get out once or twice unless a customer pays the $2 donation to get them out. They can’t have toys at night and they have to sit in their own filth all day after the annual cleaning in the morning and night. Their pet hospital is tiny and they keep sick pets in small hamster cages in the back. They keep new bunny babies in tiny boxes 2-3 of them at a time in the back until they’re ready to be put on the floor. They keep sick puppies in a room in the back in a tiny cage all by themselves and they only get interaction once or twice a day. Their cages on the floor are tiny and there are a lot of animals in one cage at once. They don’t give their animals on the floor proper treatment, example, their baby AND adult bunnies only get alfalfa hay (if they’re even given that) when only baby bunnies need alfalfa hay. The back is filthy, they use a garbage disposal for dog pee&poop and it flies everywhere when turned on. Some of the dogs can turn out to be aggressive and hardly get proper attention always seem sad or bored. Their boxes for small pets and birds are weak. They break easily and the store doesn’t do anything to fix it. The workers are scared of the owner which isn’t right. She can be rude and can’t take criticism. Some of them also seem to get upset when an animal is sick, not because they’re worried, but because it means they can’t sell them. Everything is extremely overpriced and sometimes they hardly get sales. There’s many things this place should and can get shut down for.

Our visit to the Pet Store was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left with the newest member of our family, we were treated great and were provided with every bit of information we needed & the staff was extremely friendly and informative. On June 18th, 2021 when we adopted, Bella, we left with not only a healthy & happy, puppy, but a very well tempered and fun little Bea-bull! The Pet Store made sure to get us all her paper-work and certificates from the breeders. The whole experience was simply fantastic! I would highly recommend that if you are looking to add to your family, you visit “The Pet Store” where can you rest easy that you will be seeing healthy, well taken care of, puppies to choose from. Thank you!

It is absolutely awful going inside this store. There are so many animals per enclosure. The birds and rodents are open for people to touch and I saw a young boy lift a tube with hamsters in it and dump it out! The employees do not do anything to try to fix these issues. The animals were so obviously stressed and anxious with having so many people around and touching them (a bird was stress grooming). The puppy cages were horrendous as well. They are in a small closed box with a glass wall. They sit/stand on plastic grates where there is evident poop and pee that has fallen down to a bottom tray. Then there are just some toys thrown inside. Those poor dogs looked so miserable. I do not ever leave reviews but I was absolutely disgusted with this place. I would hope that anyone who owns a pet store at least cares about the poor creatures, however, I felt that this place just merely saw them as merchandise. [Edit] In reply to the owner, first off I do apologize if I came across as rude in my review. That was not my intention. Now, as for "how the rodents are stressed," rodents are easily frightened by stimuli such as loud noises or sudden movements. Now, you can imagine having so many people around and touching the rodents isn't quiet. They appeared skittish. In regards to the puppies, at no point did I say they don't get proper socialization. I was merely trying to say that I felt the state of their cages was a bit shocking. In no way was I saying that you don't work hard, I was just trying to share my thoughts on the store when I entered it and how it, personally, made me feel as a consumer. Now, could I have pointed out the mistakes to the children's parents? I suppose I could have but I'm not responsible for the animals and my words would have had no meaning to the parents (imagine a stranger telling you how to parent rather than an employee explaining to you why what your kid is doing is incorrect). Of course, your store isn't responsible for the kids, I would just expect though for employees to try to correct things so that everything may run smoothly. Now leaving a review being complaining? I'll admit, past me could have definitely been nicer with her phrasing and how she went about everything. You have my sincerest apologies there. However, leaving a review is like constructive criticism, it's a way to publicly state your opinion. And also to inform the store on how I, someone who was a customer, perceived their store. That's WHY I felt the need to share my thoughts.

Hello, I purchased two rats from your establishment: one hairless and one with fur. They were intended as pets, but unfortunately, the hairless one never had a chance. My concern isn't the $25 charge per baby, but rather the fact that you're selling rats that are likely to die within a few days. I acquired the most affectionate and loving baby rat, yet within three days, she exhibited multiple negative signs. Now, I'm faced with the decision to either take this poor angel to the vet while you take no responsibility, or allow her to pass. Despite policy considerations, you sold us an animal that never had a fighting chance, and now we're doing everything in our power for this beautiful angel. She has no chance now. I hope you start checking your animals because my beautiful little angel didn't deserve this. I'd welcome a phone call with them but they seem to ignore the negative reviews

Bought our Cavalier here just over a year ago. They do a great job at trying to connect healthy pets with owners. Before hating on this store remember it is the buyers responsibility to know and be able to care for their pets and that includes vet care and vaxing. Also includes knowing if a breed has possible heredity issues. Get insurance. Love this place and pets are a commitment.
