The most compassionate team of doctors and nurses I have ever met, especially Dr.Digrazia. We just lost our beloved Labrador to cancer. The care that our baby received at NHP Animal Hospital for years was second to none. She was treated like a cherished family member and not just a number . Would recommend to anyone.

I just returned from my second visit to NHPAH in less than a week! Last Saturday (7/23), our 11 month old adopted stray kitten had to be checked out for vomiting and loss of appetite. Dr. Lynn Santora immediately diagnosed Pocket's problem as a linear bowel obstruction and referred us for surgery. She helped to save his little life! Today (7/27) we brought one of our other year old adopted strays for a well checkup. She was very concerned about how Pocket was doing. We showed her some pictures of him recovering from surgery and she was happy to have been able to help us. She is a very caring and kind vet. The rest of the staff is great as well. I would recommend NHPAH to anyone and they have multiple locations too!

I can’t say enough about Dr. Santoro, her team of technicians and the front desk. I’ve been a customer for over 15 years. Dr. Santoro and her group of veterinarians have cared for my passed and current fur babies. Dr. Santoro is honest, caring and saved both my frenchies lives from cancer just months apart. Her bedside manner shows confidence in experience while showing compassion of your pet. Thank you for always making us (me) feel like we are the only patients on your schedule. It takes a special person to have a team, and practice like yours.

This review is LONG overdue! My husband and I are "cat parents" to 3 rescue cats, Ricochet, Bon Bon and Phoebe. 5 years ago our former vet relocated to England . A friend referred us to Dr. Mara DiGrazia , New Hyde Park Animal Hospital. From our first visit we found Dr. DiGrazia to be compassionate, extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful. Our senior cat Phoebe , who has kidney disease, arthritis , deformity of her jaw was rescued from Animal Care and Control .Phoebe against all odds has thrived over the 3 past three years thanks to Dr. DiGrazia's expert care and guidance. We truly would be lost without her! Our male cat Ricochet ,always a bit ornery at the vet, recently experienced a mysterious rapid weight loss and loss of hair. Dr. DiGrazia methodically , diligently looked for a diagnosis for the otherwise very healthy Ricochet. He was hospitalized to stablize his condition. This type of situation can be so stressful for a pet owner as you are so worried about your pet. Dr. DiGrazia was always available to help you if you have questions or concerns. Our sweet black and white, Bon Bon developed a serous lower bladder infection. We had to bring her in as an emergency patient. Dr. DiGrazia explained to us in detail the diagnostic tools needed and ultimately Bon Bon's diagnosis and treatment. Unfortunately Bon Bon is not always a cooperative patient when it comes to taking medication. Due to the stress of the illness and the struggle to give her medication at home she stopped eating. This caused her to go into a Hepatic Lipidosis . Here we were back at the Animal Hospital with poor Bon Bon. Dr. Di Grazia was off so we had an appointment with Dr. Gabrielle Pimento . As you can imagine we were very concerned , Bon Bon was jaundice . Dr. Pimento was terrific. She did a throughout examination . She spoke with Dr. DiGrazia by phone to report her findings /consult. Bon Bon's was in critical condition and she admitted to the hosptial. Dr. Pimento kept in touch with his by phone eveyday. We also had group emails from both Dr Pimento and Dr. DiGrazia as Bon Bon's care was a team effort. The support staff at the hospital were so caring and attentive to our Bon Bon , who is a very sweet and sensitive girl. Samantha Soricelli dilengently tried to find food she would eat , hand feeding her when necessary. She also provided updates and even photos of Bon Bon ! Which was wonderful as we missed our Bon Bon. We were comforted that Bon Bon was getting excellent care. She is home now after her 5 day stay at the hospital and doing very well. We are very grateful to everyone at New Hyde Park Animal Hospital . We highly recommend this practice!
