West Hills Animal Hospital is conveniently located on Long Island in Huntington, NY. We are proud to serve the pets of both Nassau and Suffolk County. We are fully staffed around the clock, 365 days a year (including all holidays) with veterinarians and nurses to treat your pet when needed. Board-Certified Veterinary Specialists are available for consultations by appointment. We consider it a privilege and an honor to be your family’s veterinarian!

There is no other hospital/boarding I would even considering taking my fur babies! West Hills is like family. I have been a client for more than 30 years. I travel 45 minutes to get to Huntington and it’s worth it every time. My only wish is that you would consider opening a facility on the south shore. Until then, I will continue traveling to Huntington because my fur babies deserve the best care and that’s what West Hills Animal Hospital always gives, 24/7-365!

If I could go back in time, I would have picked West Hills as our Cody’s primary vet. The staff here are warm and experienced. Wish we came here on better circumstances, but Dr. Irma was incredibly compassionate with the end of life process for Cody. We went in with heavy hearts already but wanted to get more testing and second opinions. Dr. Irma and the techs/nurse took care of him immediately and explained everything to us. It was probably the most difficult conversation I’ve ever had but I am thankful in how it was all handled. They provided Cody with medication to keep him comfortable so we could take him out for the day. Grateful that we got to hold him for his last few hours. We received a handwritten sympathy card in the mail a few days later. We were also able bring his ashes home within a week. Thanks for making this process a little bit better.

It maybe a while or maybe never for me to come back here again… but I wanted to say thank you to Dr. Rodriguez and the rest of the staff for their care on both my pups. Dr. Rodriguez’s honesty and compassion throughout my pup’s health is why I kept coming back here. I want to say thank you to the staff as well, especially for the surprise hair and paw prints that they took.

We had to say goodbye to our best friend today. They were so compassionate and made the process so easy for us… they talked us through every step of the way, and explained each step. Thank you Dr. Lindsey for your compassion, empathy, and kindness. Thank you for treating our boy so sweetly in his last moments. This is a decision no pet owner ever wants to make, but when the time comes, its so important to have people like the ones who helped us today. Recently had to rush my dog here. Didn’t receive great news unfortunately about my dog’s health but the caring, friendly, patient staff members were exactly what me and my dog needed. Justice was actually very comfortable here and he’s usually a nervous dog at doctors. Appreciated the thorough examination, thorough treatment and explanation. Thank you

Took my dog to facility on a Sunday afternoon because she couldn’t stand. Service was unbelievably quick and thorough. Dr Rodrigues examined her and manipulated a dislodged kneecap and my dog was happy and jumping around immediately. I was expecting an expensive bill for the emergency visit but the charge was very reasonable I am switching my dog’s entire care to West Hills. Their staff and service are the best!!
