I volunteer at this amazing animal sanctuary owned by Sarah who has the biggest heart and all the other volunteers, too! These animals are lucky to have so much love!

Farmshire is a wonderful sanctuary for animals that have been rescued from many different unfortunate situations. The owner of it has poured her heart into making this sanctuary a safe haven for animals and an educational facility for volunteers and guests. It is unfortunate that some people take 2nd or 3rd hand stories from others and treat those stories as truth without doing research on this sanctuary. I proudly donate to Farmshire Animal Sanctuary any chance I get. I also recommend anyone questioning the validity of this sanctuary and/or its owner, please go for a visit and spend an afternoon learning about it and her. You will leave uplifted by how well the animals are cared for.

The happiest animals & the best volunteers. I think there's a little pink pig Dharma Sue runs everything from her office above where the rest of the pigs are kept. Dharma's assistant Sarah makes great lasagna. 😋😋

Wonderful Sanctuary! The animals are so well cared for and Sarah the founder has a heart of gold. She is surrounded by two other sanctuaries and together they are the largest animal rescue in Haywood county. Love visiting and learning about these precious animals.

I recently had the opportunity to visit this sanctuary. I was given a tour and had the pleasure to meet the people who take care of the animals as well as the owner. The owner and workers show so much love to each animal knowing their story and personality and helping me have a really enjoyable experience as someone who doesn't know a lot yet. I could tell there is such knowledge with Sarah and her team. I was not surprised at their love and knowledge of animals but was surprised how much patience and kindness they showed me in teaching me about everything that goes into taking care of each of their wonderful creatures. Whether it be things like pudgys desire for belly rubs or the right plan of care that has taken brittany from a scared chicken to a thriving chicken who struts with confidence in her new home. So thank you farmshire for not only your care of animals but your love of teaching people like me who may not know how much this is needed.

Farmshire is home to pigs, llamas, turkeys, and chickens rescued from abuse and neglect. The animals are well care for and happy as can be. I’ve known the founder for many years and she is a wonderful, caring person who fights for injustices against animals and humans alike. I highly recommend a visit! Sounds like the one star review has a personal issue.
