Its an amazing place to visit and cheap at that. Took my 11 year old son who loves birds here and he had a blast they don't have a ton today and the trails are a little muddy so make sure to wear boots or shoes you don't care much about. But all and all its a great place doing awesome work.

Hidden gem in Ohio! This is a tranquil bird sanctuary just like visiting an Audubon location but with some resident birds and an amazing indoor bird environment with few friendly birds. They have an incredible tree house observation deck that gets you at eye level with some birds. The front yard area is great for Eastern Bluebird and Wren watching. I also saw some Chikadees and woodpeckers. The visitor center is top notch with a resident Owl and merch made by local artists. I will be returning soon!

Small fee admission ($5-8), plenty of birds on display, and we got up close to an owl named Winnie who lives in the gift shop. Restrooms in the gift store- clean. Small easy trails with picnic tables along the way, a natural play area. Minimal parking, went on a Sunday.

I can’t believe I’ve waiting so long to visit! From the moment I walked in, I knew that this is a place that I want to support. The staff was incredibly helpful and so willing to talk openly and freely about birds, their events and past experiences. Being able to feed a cedar waxing, a bird that I find so magical, was heartwarming. Not to mention a mourning dove! So many don’t see their beauty but hopefully visiting them will change the minds. I’m so thankful for the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, the people within it and the people who support it. Cheers!

Wonderfully touching and educational, my husband and I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon learning about these amazing creatures at this most beautiful sanctuary. Gift shop was a huge bonus. Loved Winnie very much, too.
