Stitch Urgent Care is truly a class act... I had to rush my dog to an after hours urgent care and, seeing how very sick he was, they took him immediately. The entire staff is obviously made up of very knowledgeable professionals who truly love animals. Unfortunately, my bubba had to be put down, and the gentleness and empathy with which they informed me and helped me past the denial and shock was much appreciated. A couple days later, I received a wonderful sympathy card signed by the entire staff. They didn't just sign their names either... they each wrote a little note of condolence. I highly recommend Stitch and their entire staff...

There are not enough words to express mine and my family's appreciation and gratitude for the amount of care, empathy and transparency provided by Dr. Gabourel and her team. Unfortunately, my late brother's pittie took a turn overnight. We did everything for a week, trying to get in with his vet, but he just continued to deteriorate. He had an ongoing nerve issue with his back legs, and as Dr. Gabourel explained, it could have been due to a bulging or slipped disk, or a number of other things. Ultimately, there was no guarantee that, even /if/ we could afford a potentially 15k surgery (again, if that was even an option, which couldn't be determined until after a barrage of tests) there was no guarantee he would even be able to walk again. Given his very poor quality of life, old age, and the inability of my mum and I (she lives alone) not being able to provide round the clock care (which is what he would likely need, regardless of the outcome), we made the excruciatingly painful decision to let him go. Dr. Gabourel and her nurse were patient, kind, and did everything they possibly could to make the process as gentle as possible. We were able to sit with him, and feed him Hershey Kisses (which he absolutely loved) until we were ready for the process to begin. We were able to be with him the entire time, say our goodbyes, and were given the much needed option of having his cremated remains and ceramic pawprint. My brother was 26 when he passed from an overdose 2yrs ago, and it's still an open wound. Bosco was a link to him, and losing him is a painful blow; but watching his quality of life deteriorate was worse. I'm so grateful his vet's office recommended Stitch Vet, and thankful that, through this difficult time, we had such a kind caring team to walk us down this difficult path. HIGHLY recommend this vet. Thank you Dr. Gabourel and your team. Thank you for everything.

I’ve been thinking about our visit to Stitch ever since we got back home. I brought my dog in because she had been coughing a lot, even immediately after her last thoracentesis which I thought was odd, as the fluid should’ve been drained. Well, we found out that more fluid had built back up and it was double the amount of fluid and red blood cells. Yup, my 14 year old Akita likely has cancer and it is getting progressively worse. The doctor I spoke with was very sympathetic and provided options. I sincerely appreciated that they were sure to be realistic about what the next steps might look like. It’s hard to hear but it had to be said. With that said, we will be scheduling for an in home euthanasia in the coming days. However, what really made our visit special was, Athena (I believe that’s her name). She was so nice and comforting. She noticed that I was sobbing and brought over tissues. Then came over to sit down and talk to me, it brought so much comfort because I was there alone as well. This interaction will stick with me for a very long time, and I am so thankful that she took the time to talk to me when I had no one there with me. If you want great care for your fur babies, I highly recommend bringing them to Stitch. The team here actually cares about you and your animals. Thank you so much for everything today.

I was referred to Stitch by Midland Animal Clinic in Poway for a specialized soft tissue surgery for my service dog in training, “Mac”—every aspect of my experience at Stitch was absolutely OUTSTANDING. The entire staff was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in a successful outcome for Mac. Dr. Gabourel performed the surgery and personally explained her findings and how Mac did. It was clear everyone in the clinic enjoyed getting to know him and made him feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Stitch!

Our grand-dog was desperately ill and needed immediate attention. Stitch Urgent Care was able to see him right away and their concern for his health was quite touching. They had a skilled veterinary surgeon on-site and an impressive array of diagnostic tools which made a complete recovery possible. We are so glad to have found Stitch Veterinary Care!

I had to make the unfortunate decision to put my dog, Kobe, down. I called Stitch crying my eyes out and the doctor I spoke with was so compassionate and caring. I took my dog in and everyone at the office were so nice, helpful, compassionate, and allowed me all the time I needed to say bye to Kobe. These are definitely people you want taking care of your pets in their time of need. I would definitely recommend them.
