One of the most magical places you could ever visit. I stumbled across this rescue and ended up adopting my horse from them a few months later. In that time they have become family and shown such a great example of what a rescue should look like. Stop by if you have the chance! You won’t regret it!

Love Melinda and the way she treats all who come to the rescue. Joeys home makes you feel like family. It is a place where horses are given the chance for the future they deserve. There are plenty more rescues or facilities but this is the only one I can honestly recommend. Though this isn't a riding or lessons for children but you can find out if your future companion is here with time, care, and devotion that this place is more than willing to give for a animal to find a safe loving home.

Melinda is a wonderful lady with a beautiful heart. She does so much for the horses in her care. She loves them and they love her back. She has some amazing horses in her care here including permanent resident, Joey. Joey is an unbelievable 36 or 38 years old but looks and acts like a horse half his age!

I visited Joey’s Horse Rescue today and was very impressed with the facility. The horses and mini’s were all enjoying lunch , and Malinda answered my many questions, which earns her 5 star rating. I witnessed 2 horses being adopted :) . Every horse was well kept and looked healthy. The facility is a rustic place tucked in the Joshua Trees. I urge all my friends to like and follow this page.... support is welcomed .

I love Joeys. Clean, horses are excellently cared for and the founder Melinda has a huge heart. You must visit if you can. They love volunteers.
