Description Market North Veterinary Hospital originated in the 1970’s under the ownership of Dr. David Shinaberry. Dr. Luis G. Iturriaga purchased the hospital in 2001. Since then, the hospital has grown in both its staff and the services we offer. Our doctors and staff strive to meet the individual needs of both patients and their families. We look forward to seeing new and established patients and enjoy the trusted relationships we build with clients. Our number one priority is to always look out for the welfare of our beloved pets.

Love bringing my pets here. Staff is wonderful, they treat our pets like their own. Vet explains everything and never pressure to get something they don't need. We just had one of our fur babies have surgery there and she is healing very well. Glad to have an office like this.

We were very grateful that the Market North staff was able to see our male cat today when our regular vet did not have any openings. Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience. Our cat was taken away for examination, and we were told very shortly afterward that he needed an emergency procedure within the next 24 hours otherwise he would die. The vet on staff was short and unsympathetic— he told us our cat was likely to die from anesthesia because he is old and “obese” but that we didn’t have any other choice but to have the procedure done. This decision was made despite the vet and the tech insisting they could not do a thorough examination because of our cat’s “aggressive” demeanor. We decided to go to a 24 hour emergency hospital since this location does not offer 24 hour care. We are so glad we did— not only was the procedure unnecessary, but after a thorough examination by a different vet, it was determined he only needed antibiotics. He is home with us this evening resting and recuperating. We will likely not return to Market North for any of our pets’ care.

My pet passed away and I was not called back when I was told I would be. No..... you did not and only the vet number is an Outgoing Call the day my pet died. You did not check her for mites when I brought her, 27 days later (life cycle of mite), she's dead. You were wrong about lump on my other pet--it went way. Thank goodness I did not let them put him under anesthesia like the vet wanted to take samples.

Such an amazing vet clinic with just as amazing staff. I’ve been taking my Guinea Pigs & Hamsters here since 2018, and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff & doctor are always friendly, they have squeezed me in for same day appointments on more than one occasion, and they’ve saved my furry family members lives many times.
