It's never easy of losing a pet. About an hour & a half ago, my wife found our cat Pumpkin in our bedroom closet barely clinging to life. Before all this happened, we took her to the vet late last year to have her checked out because her breathing didnt sound right & had lost some weight. Our vet told us she had hyperthyroidism & was on medication for it. Back to our story: We rushed her to the Stark County Vet ER & one of the staff members came & opened the door & we told her what happened. They immediately rushed her back. Then coming back about a minute later saying our cat Pumpkin had passed away. She was 13. The staff there was so friendly, caring & helpful with us. They gave us an option of getting her cremated & to have her ashes put in a box. I wanted to go with that. Also, they even made a couple of paw prints & a nose print of her plus they cut off a little bit of her cat hair. After finishing up, as we were being let out by the woman who let us in, she sympathized with us & even gave us reassuring hugs. That goes to show how much her & the staff care. A most definite 5 stars on this review no doubt. And to our cat Pumpkin: Rest in peace baby girl. Mom & Dad miss you so much 😢
I had to do what no one wants to do... I had to put my baby to sleep yesterday. The ladies at this clinic showed absolute compassion in my time of need and I am grateful. After announcing his heart had stopped, and he was no longer with us, the woman that injected him fought back tears of her own as she gave me her condolences. You can't fake that kind of compassion. They gave me prints of his nose and feet and handled his cremation. Thank you for all you do for our beloved animals.
We decided to bring our male cat to Stark County Veterinary Emergency Clinic after being told by another vet that he was in need of an emergency procedure requiring sedation and boarding for 3-4 days. After thorough examination and testing by Dr. Bridges, it was determined that our cat did not need the procedure and only needed some antibiotics. We were able to bring him home that evening. We’re so grateful we decided to bring our boy here, and he received the quality care he needed. Dr. Bridges and his team were kind, understanding, thoughtful, and took every precaution to ensure our cat received the care he truly needed.
Thursday was the worst day of my life but the people here made it a tad bit easier. My sweet girl had pale gums and difficulty breathing. Once we arrived they told me that she was considered critical, they list of things they could possibly do along with their cost. They were understanding with us not having that much money and were able to work with us to figure something out. They noticed my sweet girl has a massive tumor that had finally become too much for her. They allowed us all the time we wanted before and after to say goodbye. The vet was so sweet. Although my baby didn’t get to come home with me I know she got the best care there was. Thank you guys so much for treating her and making her last moments not so painful.
First off Thank You to there AMAZING STAFF! Thank you for being there for our family. For comforting us and showing compassion. You made the process easier then we ever expected. Our 16 year old kitty passed right before we got there and the staff treated us like we were family but they had never met us and it was the middle of the night. Huge Thank You to everyone there. RIP Summer ❤️
I took my cat in on Saturday because he didn't eat or drink for 3 days. They said he was severely dehydrated. Cost for "aggressive treatment" was $2500-$3000. When I said I didn't have that at the moment, she recommended putting him to sleep, there was no coming back from that. I told her I would take him home to say goodbye and take him to his vet. He started drinking when we got home and by Monday night he was himself again.
