We have complained for over two years about a brindle pit that has been chained up next to a tree with no water, and they have a allowed every dog in a 5 mile radius to impregnate this dog, while it was chained to a tree with only a dog house with three sides out of it . No protection while multiple dogs have fought over her. When she is not chained she in the road or biting at tires. Animal control finally wrote a citation up and magistrate court let it go and owners have the dog again .Now she just had another litter of puppies recently and it looks like she may have the mange. I have taken pictures and sent them to the animal control for the last two years with emails and other people in the area have done the same as well. . At what point does this county use appropriated tax dollars to solve a an ongoing issue that has been reported repeatedly.

Pickens county animal control is a joke. Got 2 feral cats on my property. My mom got bite by one of them and they refuse to come get the cats. I have 2 small kids that play outside and can get bitten as well. But nope. They refuse to do anything. We cannot catch these cats ourselves and no one will take them. Animal controls job is to control animals but they not doing that. If i could give zero stars i would.

They sent me to liberty police department just to tell me that because I found a dog they consider me the owner. They are part of the problem of people dumping animals. I am trying my hardest to just help a hurting animal and this is the response I've had. I wish I could express just how frustrating this experience has been. I'm in a low income area, I cant afford two 60 lb dogs

The super nice schools are just about the only thing this town has going for it. I wish they'd spend some tax dollars making a LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER program for Pickens County. The animal control and all area shelters tell me there's nothing they can do. There are rapidly multiplying STRAY CATS everywhere. Citizens of this county's only choice is to do nothing and have a bunch of starving cats and kittens everywhere, or we have to drive all the way to Greenville or Anderson to have access to low cost spay/neuter. Please make a solution!

Complained several times about the people down the road letting their pits and other dogs out to go to the bathroom and they run all through my yard in a pack. I've been cornered several times as well as being chased through my yard. It's sad that I cannot sit in my own yard that I pay for and enjoy the fruits of my labor. It was to my understanding that they've been warned and they have citations. Which they clearly care nothing about. I have video and pictures from the last YEAR of dealing with this.

PCAC has really turned themselves around. They have a top notch organization now featuring adoptions and community outreach. They are under a new, caring management who want to make sure each animal has every chance to live possible. They are desperately in need of donations and volunteers, so if you are able, please help!
