I have had a few pets over the years, and I have gone to a few vets in a number of different states. I knew the first appointment at Pickens Animal Hospital that I had found our home. While I have been extremely happy with all of the doctors and techs, I will forever hold a special place in my heart for Dr. Burton. He is always very thorough, kind, and caring. He pulled our sweet Bear through a number of health challenges. And it was Dr. Burton, on a very, very busy day at the hospital, who took all the time we needed to help my family navigate one of the most difficult days of our lives. I will never hesitate to refer a friend to Pickens Animal Hospital.

Now I can speak as both an employee and client. Pickens Animal Hospital staff, veterinarians and owner are absolutely some of the most compassionate people I have worked with. When you've worked with all types you especially appreciate the good ones. My own dog wasn't feeling well and they got him worked into the schedule last minute. All the other doctors consulted on his case to verify the diagnosis, you never want to be right when it's bad. They let me take the afternoon off to spend his last day with him and both my husband and I will forever be grateful. The dog that got me through so much schooling and life had the best last day because of it. Thank you. If you had an appointment yesterday and had to wait additional time compared to normal I apologize; they were unexpectedly down a doctor.

We have been visiting this Animal Hospital for many years. Very helpful, friendly staff excellent veterinarians. They saved my dogs life several times! So grateful to have them for my furr babies.

Just wanted to say this vet office is great. My pets have been going there for years and we love everyone here. I had to put my baby down yesterday and everyone was great and so much support from all the staff.

This is a case of "you get what you pay for." The fact that they will allow annual check-ups (labs) over semi-annual is a plus for me. Well, okay, for my pets. (Note: Dog grooming is not offered on-site, but they will give you a referral to an outstanding Dog Groomer.)
