Absolutely wonderful folks at Pickens County Animal Shelter. In our experience their mission is for the best life of the animals they oversee.. We've rescued 4 big dogs since January of 2022 and never regretted it for one second..

Looks nice, but the smell just hits you in the face when walking in. I adopt all my animals, and this place looks clean. Considering the animals are in a closed up area in the back, I was not expecting to smell it as you walk in.

Helped reunite my aging parents to their missing dog. Dog had never gotten out before in 12 yrs. So happy she ended up here, from the angel that found her to the angel's that made sure she wasn't too tramutized. PCAS made the whole process, as traumatic as it was, less painful. You guys are greatly appreciated and thank you for the service you do!

I stopped in to visit the Pickens shelter to look and see what it was all about. This shelter is clean and well organized. The animals were well cared for. The hired staff and volunteers seemed very loving to the animals. Just about all the dogs looked at me as if they wanted me to take them home as a few of the cats did too. It was a bittersweet visit because the animals need a family to give them the warm love they all need.

Took my son to pick out his puppy. The women that helped us were awesome and pretty helpful. We now have a new family member 😀
