Dr. Wood and his staff are amazing! They are my go to for my black lab even though I live in the Twin Cities. Great facility, and caring staff that know what they are doing without taking advantage of your wallet. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Woods and his technician, Courtney, took excellent care of my dog when she needed TPLO surgery and beyond. They patiently answered my many questions, the surgery went very well, and follow-up went well, too. This is a very caring animal hospital and worth the trip to Rice Lake for this procedure. I'd recommend them to friends without hesitation.

Fantastic Dr and clinic. I wish we were closer. Dr Woods performed TPLO surgery on our Aussie and will do another in a couple of months. Definitely not cheap, but affordable. Amazing animal loving staff. Wish I could give them a higher rating!!

My dog had an ACL surgery here. Dr. Woods did an amazing job and all of the staff were very friendly and explained the procedure and recovery well. If this vet wasn’t as far from my location (travelled for the surgery), I would definitely use them as my regular vet. Highly recommend.

Dr. Woods and his team at RLAH were absolutely amazing in such a scary time for our pup! They were accommodating, kind, caring, and professional. He was able to get my dog in for TPLO surgery very quickly. Also very affordable pricing compared to other places we contacted! We would absolutely recommend them for surgical needs! Our pup is home the same day and on the road to recovery!

After reading reviews and making some calls I ended up deciding to use rice lake for my dogs luxating patella surgery. I appreciated Dr. Woods calling me back directly to discuss the same evening I called, his tech called me the next morning to set up her surgery date. I Set up her surgery for first thing in the morning since I was insistent on taking her home the same day. They were great with S’mores, all of his staff is very nice and it costed me a fraction of the price I would have paid in Madison. They don’t overdo things and want a bunch of appointments and stuff which I appreciate and it’s far less stressful on the dog. We’re 4 weeks into recovery and she’s doing well. Would absolutely recommend them for your dogs orthopedic surgery.
