I have been bringing my senior cat Audrey to Prairie State Animal Hospital for 3 years. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and prices are reasonable compared to other vets in the area. I am able to get in and out for my appointments within 20-30 minutes, which is super convenient for me to be able to bring my cat during my lunch break. On a recent visit, my cat’s platelet count was unable to be read, and the office retested at no charge. I highly recommend Prairie State for kitty care!

My three dogs have been going to see Dr Natt for about two years. She’s very calm and gentle and listens to my concerns. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes past my appointment time, and prices are more reasonable than some other area vets.

Our dogs have been patients of Prairie State Animal Hospital for nearly 9 years. Annette and PJ are sincerely so kind and compassionate towards our pet family. PJ has even called us past 9pm to check in when our dog was ill. As our oldest dog is aging he’s been experiencing normal joint and back issues. Dr Natt has provided him care including chiropractic and acupuncture. She also recommended a home cooked diet and traditional medicine herbs that have helped with his mobility greatly. He lost weight to get back to a healthy size and is so happy now! Dr Natt is also amazing with our rescue dog who went through some digestive and some behavioral concerns. The care and concern the staff shows is something special. We also use the practice for dental cleanings. It’s important to keep your pets healthy and happy. We 🐾 Prairie State!

I came in with my sick dog. He wasn't eating, vomiting, lost weight, and lethargic. The fist lady at the front desk wasn't very friendly nor did she seem too concerned about my pets well being. She told me to "have a seat" and left me there for a good 5 minutes. She went to do some other administrative work and practically ignored me and my sick dog. A Caucasian woman came in while on her walk home- no pet in hand, and that same lady at the front desk catered to her right away, something about lab results(paperwork). It took another employee to notice me sitting there with my poor sick dog. She was more polite, but she didn't even ask the doctor if he could be seen right away. She said they were "backed" up. I was the only one in their lobby!! These people turned AWAY my poor SICK dog!! RIDICULOUS and INHUMANE!!!

Can't give enough praise for PJ, Dr. John, and the rest of the team at Prairie State Animal Hospital. The care is excellent and for over 15 years, they've treated us like family.

The staff is helpful and friendly I really appreciate them for helping when my dog gorgeous passed away they made us feel so comfortable I would like to thank the the lady at the front desk for all of her help.
