I’ve seen Doctor cable since he took over the office many years ago. He’s a veterinarian you can trust to give you an honest opinion on how to treat any diagnosis of your pet, without trying to oversell you on different treatments. It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. Our dog has been a patient at Atlantic Animal Clinic under Dr. Cable's care for years. She has epilepsy, and although it may not be related, she has recently started snapping in high-stress situations. Unfortunately, she snapped at my two-year-old daughter last weekend, breaking the skin. We are devastated by this incident as we love our dog dearly. Understanding the safety concerns around her behavior, I called Dr. Cable to seek advice on how to proceed, as legally, a vet cannot see a dog that has bitten for 10 days following the incident. I hoped to discuss options like rehoming or understanding if her epilepsy could be contributing to aggression. Instead of speaking with Dr. Cable, one of his associates informed me that our dog could no longer be seen at their practice, not just for 10 days, but permanently. They were unable to provide guidance on where to take her for future shots or offer advice on managing her behavior. While the associate was kind, their response was brief and left me feeling unsupported in a difficult situation. I am heartbroken. Our dog means everything to us, and I believed I could rely on Dr. Cable's experience and compassion for practical advice. Although I understand the clinic's policy regarding biting dogs, I am deeply hurt that Dr. Cable did not personally reach out to discuss this sensitive matter or offer assistance in moving forward. I have previously recommended Atlantic Animal Clinic to friends based on our positive experiences, but I am now left devastated by how this situation was handled. They took great care of my elderly Cat Vanilla Bean. I took her to Atlantic Animal Clinic for regular check ups and any time she felt sick and they’d help her feel better. The Vets and Techs are extremely professional, friendly, and compassionate. Eventually the time came where her quality of life in her advanced age decreased to the point that she needed to be euthanized. I made the decision and they took care of everything. Even after my cat had passed, they reached out to make sure that I was doing alright. I never got a chance to respond to their letters, but I’ll forever be grateful for the time and care they gave Vanilla Bean and I. I highly recommend this place for people that want the best care for their furry family members.

We boarded our 2 cats for 14 days and couldn’t be happier with how well they were taken care of. Amy and her crew obviously spent time with them and I can say, I think our cats were lonely for everyone after they got home. Thank you for your loving care!

Cannot recommend Atlantic Animal Clinic enough! I have been with them for about a year, there isn’t a team I would trust more with my dogs. They are very dedicated to their patience of course but going that extra mile of working with me to make sure my boys are getting the best support to help them be healthy and happy dogs.
